Angry Help !

I can't make the thing work. Please help or the wife is going to kill me !

I can't get rid of Phyllidia's commentary. If I go into extras and turn it off then it changes the soundtrack to "2 ENG DTS-HD MSTE Multi" and my surround sound system can't pick it up. If I change the soundtrack back to "7 ENG Digital Stereo" then the commentary is turned back on!

Please please help.

Default Mamma Mia! Success theater and Blu-ray

This is what I was trying to say before when Spartan attacked me:

from IMDb:

Meryl Streep has accused film executives of overlooking female moviegoers while narrowing their target to young males. In an interview with the website Collider.com, Streep said that Universal Studios executives were surprised by the enormous box-office success of Mamma Mia! in which she stars. "Why were they surprised?" she asked rhetorically. "Because they're all men! Not that there is anything wrong with it. It just puts certain blinders on." The film, which has earned $567 million at the worldwide box office, ranks second only to The Dark Knight ($996 million) among the top-grossing movies of the year. Streep told Collider that the success was "very gratifying" to her "because it's so hard to get enough financing" for films of that sort. "I mean, the budget for that musical would have fit into the props budget for any Matrix film or, you know, Hellboy." Hellboy II, also released by Universal this year, grossed $152 million worldwide. "[Mamma Mia!] so outdid Hellboy at the box office," Streep remarked, "and you just can't get [Universal executives] to understand this. It will pay you back." Asked about a possible sequel to Mamma Mia!, Streep shot back, "Now! Now! Now!" and added that "of course" she would be interested in reprising her role.

I couldn't be happier. Such a feel good movie.

That certainly sounds like him. Did you say something about the Dark Knight?

I'm going to check it out but I'm trying to remain optimistic after seeing and really enjoying the Broadway show a few times.

He's currently serving his second (at least) suspension, so it might be a while.

I'm glad it made money too, if it keeps the industry profitable then they can make more HellBoy movies from the Momma Mia cash.

My wife and daughter watched it 2 nights ago...and seemed to love it. I heard lots and lots of laughter.

I stayed for about 5 minutes to see how it looked on blu. Though I didnt stay to watch the movie...it looked darn good.

No matter if you like the movie or not it is quite impressive that even though it's released on the SAME DAY as The Dark Knight, the biggest money maker of the year! "Mamma Mia" still came out strong and made money and A LOT OF IT!

$143 Million (domestic)
$428 Million (foreign)
and $572 MILLION (worldwide!)

I was one of those people who saw the movie multiple times (5x) and I now have it on blu. Just goes to show that there IS a growing audience for movie musicals.

Reviews don't seem to mean alot to box office returns or even the Oscars.

Post about the car bail out or talk about ripping Blu-Ray movies to your hard drive.

Or just good old fashion trolling.

Mamma Mia did very well, but I can't write that it will be nice FOR ME to see more movies like: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants , The Women , Sex and The City , 27 Dresses , Made of Honor Vicky Christina Barcelona , and Baby Mama .

Sex in the City is off the chain. Sisterhood of the Traveling pants was just okay. Baby Mama was stupid. 27 dresses was 26 too many. I am going to be reviewing The Women this week, and it better be good because the original movie was not bad at all. Thank God that is all of the girlie titles I have had to review.

You do know that worldwide for 2008 the top 5 are:

1. The Dark Knight $996.8 million
2. Indiana Jones IV $786.5
3. Kung Fu Panda $631.8
4. Iron Man $581.9
5. Mama Mia $572.0

According to boxofficemojo.com, these are the top 5 worldwide films of the year, and Mama Mia is 5th not second.
