It honestly wouldn't be that surprising if this didn't an HDR grade at all. Seeing as the first season didn't have one.

I know they're reissuing it later this year in Dolby Vision, but no release date has been indicated.

Still, this will be worth having for the 4K-DI alone.

Do you honestly believe that if Target had actually cared that the last release was leaked (and built up major anticipation, for little to no cost to Target), they would have allowed another edition to leak again? Do you really think Netflix would have been happy, if that were the case? Absolutely not. At best, it's highly suspicious, and you would think that people at Netflix/Target would be furious if these leaks were occurring purely by accident.

Also, it's worth noting that I really don't ever remember other Target exclusives being leaked weeks in advance of their supposed street dates. Maybe some people ordered online and received copies a few days in advance, but it would be rare for Target to screw up timing of exclusives this badly, with the same company involved, more than once in less than two months.

As it is, my guess is neither company gives a damn, because each time they have "mysteriously" been able to exploit the internet to build anticipation for these releases, which otherwise would have had little fanfare by release week. Sure, the timing of the formats was off, big time, but other than that, this was a perfect little plan, and it was probably accomplished by simply not bothering to tell someone at Target to not do something.
Gotta love conspiracy theorists.

I'm sure Bill Hunt of the Digital Bits just reads this site.

The HDR10 grade, at least, was done nearly a year ago I believe by Technicolor, the source for this was technicolor themselves via a chart provided by Puddy from technicolors official website.

So does the 4k version include a VHS tape-style case just like the blu-ray set?

Isn’t it great how neither of those mention us Blu-ray.com-ers, when all of this started here? They even say multiple people at multiple Targets found it early, when that’s clearly not the case. Great reporting.

But the pics on the front page don't show the inside case. I'd assume they include the same VHS-style case inside. but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes, it’s the same VHS style case. I’d be happy to take and post more pics of it for you when I’m home from work later!

Correction. Technicolor did both the HDR10 and Dolby Vision grade. This graph is at least 6 months old.

Does it have the "Beyond Stranger Things" behind the scenes as extras?

If not that is pretty lame of Netflix to release a 4K which is more a collectors purchase and not to include these.

Um, what? More of a collector's purchase? Blu-ray consumers are just as much collectors as 4K consumers are.

All indications from the disc and packaging images posted by rpvee are that the 4K set is the same as the Blu-ray set in terms of content. No extras, just the episodes.

Real journalism is a completely lost profession these days, even on websites that I like and mostly respect.

Bill Hunt is a tool.

Might as well sell as many Digital Copies as I can so I can eventually buy the UHD/BD release. Was gonna go for the BD/DVD combo on Black Friday but nah. Maybe yes because it's only $10 then.

When I get home tonight, I’ll give this thing a full photoshoot and share the pics here. Slip, case, discs, poster, everything. And then we can replace the database pic, even though the old pic featuring my finger is already everywhere.

from blu-ray.com review the blu-ray set is pretty bare bone with no extra so i guess 4K would be the same...
