I havent seen this one in 3D but i have it on my shelf. I have seen the first in 3D and it looked great, but i think the second movie was far more fun.

Watched Wonder women and the Mummy . Seen both at the cinema and the 3d looked pretty much the same . Good but wished they had been stronger. Also just seen House of Magic and that has some really great 3d in it

Yeah it's been on my 3D shelf for a while now. I loved the first film and had seen the second one before just not in 3D. I do like the sequel a bit more however when you watch I hope you enjoy the 3D as much as I did.

The Monkey King 2 has fantastic 3D, the finale is quite something.

This weekend I watched Transformers Age Of Extinction and Transformers The Last Knight, having rebought the UK edition of the former movie after the American version broke down on me last weekend.

Both have the typical Michael Bay mix of native and converted 3D with at least three different aspect ratios so the overall experience is inconsistent - to my eyes I think Age Of Extinction has the better 3D but there isn't much between them.

Both films feature too many scenes where the 3D is barely noticeable, this is mainly because nothing is really positioned outside of the screen, that space is used for particle effects, gun barrels and that kind of thing.

The IMAX-formatted footage isn't very impressive when filming humans, just showcasing depth and separation but is often jaw-dropping whenever there's CGI on the screen. Both films do thankfully have frequent (if brief) pop-outs but apart from in the IMAX-formatted CGI scenes the bulk of the action remains at screen level or behind the screen, in that typical cowardly conservative Hollywood style all real 3D lovers are increasingly frustrated by.

It's worth noting that I previously saw both films theatrically. I was sitting at the front right of the screen for The Last Knight, and it had terrible ghosting, the worst I'd seen in ages. At home on my plasma TV however, it was perfect, no ghosting at all.

It sounds like I'm being quite negative but that's because, for all his talk and with the resources at his disposal, Michael Bay could have pushed the 3D a lot more. Those far-too-brief fighter jet scenes at the end of the last movie were so much stronger than what came before, the whole movie should have looked like that. My bottom line is that I really can't get enough of these kinds of films, anything featuring massive scale sci-fi destruction in 3D is fine with me. Roll on the next one...
the reviewers they were calling the 3d disc demoworthy, i don't think the 3d disc is demoworthy, i've seen way better 3d than this, The Taking of Tiger Mountain and Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back have better native 3d.

An enjoyable film overall, with good depth but no pop-outs!

Watched Dr. Who Dark Water/Death in Heaven.

Familiar with the series but don't follow it but didn't prevent us from enjoying this episode.

Read that the 3D conversion was panned but I thought it was quite good. Already watched Day of the Doctor FYI.

When taking off the shrink wrap, unfortunately it was sticking to the plastic on the case and I began pulling that off as well. couldn't save it but fortunately used copy came with the slip case.

First time I ever did that one. Guess don't know my own strength.

Last night I watched Despicable Me 3

I wasn't impressed. Admittedly it was around midnight and I was tired, but I thought the 3D was a lot lot weaker than it was in The Secret Life Of Pets. The pop-outs (a yo-yo! a fist!) were welcome, but they weren't that strong - even the end credits were just a boring animation followed by white text on a black screen instead of the envelope-pushing 3D seen in the credits of the previous films.

As usual, the main benefits to the 3D presentation were depth, separation and volume. Depth was nothing special but I did notice the separation and volume, there's an extra layer of class added when you have 3D animation that's actually rendered in 3D, it just feels more solid, more real, all through the movie. I actively avoided the film in 2D for that reason, the 3D may be relatively tame but no way will this play as well flat, even in the emperor's new format.

I started watching In the Heart of the Sea last night. The 3D looked amazing, and the movie itself in fantastic. I was just going to pop it in for a few minutes to check it out before bed but ended up watching an hour.

I love this movie. I saw it in 2D a while ago but in 3D its so awesome.

Went through all 5 Pirates of Caribbean movies. Forgot how fun and well made most of them were and had a blast doing so.

3D starts immersive enough and then just gradually falls apart at the same rate as the story does unfortunately. Some good 3D scenes are peppered into this one, no doubt, but enough scenes making me question why I was bothering wearing glasses at all were present too. I would probably watch this in 2D next time, and we said as much after it was over*.

Popped this one in right after the last one and I am happy to report this one delivers on the promise of good 3D and story. Had to be one of the most enjoyable 3D presentations I've had all year. It left me and the wife just wanting more more more! Even if you were disappointed by the previous one's 3D or story I encourage you to go back for this one, I think its just as good as the first and second in the series.

*I'd mentioned that I'd watch part 4 flat next time, well that's not exactly true. I will skip part 4 entirely from now on given how poor and unnecessary the story turns out to be. After watching the 5th and final one (not sure how final it really is), the only really relevant piece of information part 4 manages to offer to the overall story is a *tiny* piece of backstory on the Black Pearl ship that will never require a rewatch to find out again.

Waiting for copies of Cars 3 & DM3 to arrive.

Due to feedback here and on YouTube, I'll boost the 3D on both.

It's so easy to switch to LG 3D Manual, it's not a problem at all.

Watched Star Trek: Into Darkness 3D, this movie is Kryptonite to me.

Keep this short, by just saying I hate everything about this movie and it's look.

Spoof? Parody? Bad Fan Faction? Bastardization of a classic? Trolling the fanbase?

Ridiculous accents and constant Lense Flare abound and are sure to annoy.

At one point, Kirk admits he's a clueless moron who has no idea what he's doing.

I didn't care for the first reboot movie, but this one takes it to a whole nother level.

Only bright side to this mess is that Star Trek Beyond has to be better...

Star Trek Beyond story/plot is a little better than re-hashed Wrath of Khan in ST:ID. 3D is blech to non-existent like in Star Wars Rogue One.
