You'd probably not hear much from Dunkirk since there's so little dialogue anyway. |

Then with Interstellar, I saw it first in 70mm and there were a few lines I couldn't make out, but nothing major. And certainly glad I saw that first, cause in IMAX Digital two weeks later, large portions of dialogue where problematic and there were crucial scenes I wouldn't have understood (such as Michael Caine's big one) otherwise. Like Interstellar, I saw Dunkirk and Rises twice in theaters, once in IMAX and once not, and there I didn't notice any major mix problems either way (again, a few lines I couldn't make out, the Rises IMAX prologue though was a complete mess). |

You can have dynamics and loudness, but it doesn't have to be dynamic to just be loud.
In any case, in the previous post I'm just paraphrasing what his boom operator on Dunkirk said, unfortunately he's deleted his posts otherwise I'd link to them... |

Interesting note: Academy screeners for Dunkirk are being sent out in 4K for those members who signed up for the format (deadline was October 31). What's also interesting is that The Dark Knight was the first Academy screener to go out on Blu-ray (to those members who had the capability) back in 2008. Requirements are also that this 4K screener is not the same disc pressing that will go retail in December.

While the Wal-Mart exclusive of Revenge of the Fallen was available as a DVD, I believe this might be the first wide DVD release to include IMAX exclusive switching aspect ratios.
