PM suggestion for all members - Blu-ray Forum

When I send a PM it normally takes a while for the recipient to see it, because they don't check their PM box regularly. vBulletin has an option that enables a pop-up notification when the message is sent. To enable this, go here and go to Messaging & Notification, then Private Messages and check the box that says "Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up".

This is just a suggestion that makes it easier for all members.

This info is great for new members and people who use the trading forums a lot. I check my PMs everyday and i have the pop up notification on too.

I think this should be stickied, it's very helpful. It prevents the YGM posts.

I think you get 100 in and 100 out. Sent messages count towards the total.

Not for all members. Some of us always check it. In fact its the first thing I check. It is my reason for being here. I check my PMs for a chance at a trade,
or else, not much point at being here.

I just archive mine in microsoft office. I used to delete them but everytime I did I needed to doublecheck a # or address so I just started saving them there. Plus the search option is great as well

I usually check my pms first. Hopefully i get at least 1 per day. Makes me feel special.

Lol, im not as 'fortunate' but I have the notification on, just because i am sometimes oblivious to the bold number in the top corner saying I have a PM

It is helpful.

BUT..on the other forum I belong to...we get a nice little blinky mail thingy when we have a PM...nice to see a little blinky mail thingy that forces me to look at my PM's
