VERY VERY OVERRATED. His only real good films were the Kill Bills. Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction were good but definitely not great.

One of the greatest filmmakers in the history of film. If you don't like Tarantino movies you are very un-educated towards film.

he's a bit overrated, but so far i've loved every movie he's directed. he shouldn't act in any of them though. ever since i saw an interview with him, i just hear him saying all the lines in his movies and now i find it hard to get through any of them except reservoir dogs and kill bill. as for death proof, i usually just skip to the car chase.

he's overrated because he isn't that good really. it's not because we're individuals and it makes us cool. i don't care if i'm cool or not. i love speed 2. there's no way i can be cool with that movie in my list.

So basically your saying he's not good because he's not good? Not really an educated reason is it?

Tarantino is undeniably a unique director, who brings something different to his films that you can't find elsewhere. If you don't like his cinematic approach or writing style, no amount of discussion will change your mind (nor should it) - but at the same time, for those who like the style, his films are wonderful.

Wait. You are calling people who don't think he is one of the greatest directors uneducated because they don't like him. That right there is arrogant and uneducated. I may not be the top of the film class but I have been on three movie sets. Tarantino is good just not great like people claim. To me he was peaking at Pulp Fiction and could have been something fantastic but he has dwindle away from that.

Robertthunder is type 2 (check my sig). As for Tarantino, I think he is really gifted at creating great dialogue; however, to call him one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of film.... I just can't agree.
