Default HELP WITH SONY s550

Hey guys i just plugged my new bd player in through hdmi and i was doing the basic settings in the beginning... and when i was asked what type of video output resolution for the tv and i selected 1080p by accident and now i get no signal to my tv.. i do not know what to do.

if any one could help it would be greatly appreciated! THANKS

You should be able to go back into the set up menu and redo the set up.

Yeah i would do that but nothing is showing up on the screen now, so i dunno what im gonna do.

You should be able to reboot to the factory default settings check your manual.

Use a video cable
So your useing HDMI and the cable.Do all your setting then unhook the cable to see if you got the picture you want with HDMI(do you understand)

It takes a little time but will help you get there

I've had to do this before not with a Blu-player.But other equipment

I dunno i already selected hdmi and than i went to put in the resolution and than i clicked the wrong one and now i have no picture. I have tried putting in the standard av cables and i dont get anything on that now.. i if there is somewhere i can reset the player or sumthing so i can just restart the process over? thanks for the help already guys

you can reset the player and that will take you back to the startup procedure in most cases, or go into the setup menu and under Video or display and change the output to whatever you need..... resetting may be easier though, check the manual in the trouble shooting section.

Yea,I think all player have a reset just some are harder to find

Try pressing the stop button "square" on your player for more than 10 seconds, it should reset the video resolution to the lowest resolution. Check page 58 on your manual. Good luck

so far i just hooked one up for my father and tried to play 3:10 to yuma and so far it will not play the disc..anyone experience any problems with movies not working?

did you update the firmware first? (connect it to the internet, it should notify you to update...then its automatic)

sorry atm i have not updated it
have you tried playing 3:10? also do i have to hook this up via Ethernet or can i connect wireless like my ps3
