Terror Train is "Temporarily out of stock" on Amazon.

Pulled the trigger anyways. Hoping there are some copies left in the bowels of Amazon's warehouses.

I saw Rockula for the first time a few months back on Comet. It's actually a pretty good film, in my opinion. I don't think the trailer does it much justice. It's a bit more serious than implied, but always very funny. Definitely recommended for Dean Cameron fans, and Toni Basil was fabulous in it. It definitely has a solid '80s feel despite its slightly later release. It gets my recommendation.

I guess this probably means Scream haven't got another deal with Fox in the pipeline, as I imagine they would have renewed the rights to this in the process.

In terms of other labels, the only other candidate I can see giving it a new release is Kino, given that they've recently dealt with Fox and were hoping to strike a new deal this year.

I doubt we've seen the last of Terror Train, though the extras Scream did for their release may potentially remain exclusive and keep this version sought after by collectors.

Listed as five copies in stock, but I can't personally vouch for reliability.

The new steelbook designs are even better than the first Carpenter batch. Easy purchase for me, now I just hope I can sell them for as much as I sold the first 3. Hopefully the slipcovers for POD and AOP13 are worth something too haha.

Listed as four copies of Terror Train in stock here for $13.85. I'm not at all familiar with the site though.

If this is the case I suppose I'd better track down that Aussie Fly Collection set released a few months ago so I can get the sequel on BD. A lot of people hate it but I always felt it was a very worthy (and fun) followup to Cronenberg's masterpiece.

We haven't. It's a highly regarded Jamie Lee Curtis slasher classic. No way it'll slink back into obscurity.

I wonder if that means that some/all of their other 5-year licenses* (and others, once they reach that point) will also be going OOP soon/eventually.

* From Fox only?

I don't think we see another Fox title until 2014 (?), so we should be alright for a while.

Quite true. Potential films on the chopping block in 2019 would be Ravenous, Lake Placid, Phantom of the Paradise, The Legend of Hell House and Tales from the Crypt/The Vault of Horror. That's assuming the issue is securing a deal with Fox and that their window of release is limited to 5 years. Of course, it could be that sales have slowed down enough on Terror Train that it wasn't worth it to renew that particular title

Does 'original film elements' mean a 35mm print? (I'm assuming if it were IP or OCN they'd say so.)

It's my understanding that the rights to TERROR TRAIN reverted away from Fox back to its Canadian producers. I don't think it's a sign of the Fox licenses as a whole coming to an end any time soon.

Interesting. I guess that might make it viable for Arrow should they wish to pursue it.

At least, we'll be getting both the theatrical and TV versions of EYE OF THE CAT.

Kinda surprised Arrow hadn't already put this out in the UK.
