Sorry, I don't buy that. The guy says the I-Rex couldn't use both her "superpowers" at the same time and that she couldn't possibly be so intelligent as a three-year-old because that's scientifically impossible... Well, in a ****ing sci-fi movie it is totally possible.

The plot in those movies have never been layered, or particularly complex. I think what we see is what we get.

Dr.Wu from the sound of it can face charges so I doubt he would do anything to hurt himself.

I doubt they did it on purpose since Hoskins is DEAD. If he planned that he would've done it in such a way he wouldn't have been...eaten.

But still these animals clearly are to dangerous to be on any land that have humans on them and there’s no way the animals on the ground can get off the island. So why won’t the government leave them to die? And how was people allowed back on the island when in Lost World people was not allowed on them?
Wu believes creating dangerous hybrids is fine. Because of that stupid argument that scientific explorations may continue, no matter what! He thinks he's doing the right thing, probably. As for the dinosaurs, I don't want them to die. Seeing that trailer was painful. They have done nothing wrong and don't threaten the human world by being confined to those islands.

You should be able to look at them as just animals, not extinct creatures. Tigers and lions are dangerous for us, should we finish them off or allowed them to die? That is the mentality of godforsaken hunters and people who only care about their own existence. Everyone has a right to survive until they directly threaten your life. Then you can defend yourself.

The dinosaurs are no longer just extinct animals but are symbolic of wild animals of our world. Owen and Claire believes in saving them as animal lovers are trying to save wild animals from extinction; trying to save dogs, cows, pigs, bulls, horses, donkeys from being slaughtered for meat, leather, etc. People are trying to save animals from being cruelly experimented up and killed. People are trying to save animals from kill shelters.

Humans have woken up to the suffering of animals caused by HUMANS!
In this day and age we cannot and should not support destruction of animals, even fictional ones. Because keep in mind, children are the primary target audience of these films. You have to teach them compassion for all life, not "animals are our nemesis."

I never liked those glass balls because they are very unrealistic and unsafe! Who in their right minds would send their children rolling around dinosaurs that could crush the glass and knock it off like a bowling ball.

The Jungle explorers, the Mercedez Benz M-Class and that Mobile Lab are my favourite vehicles in the series. They look exotic, colourful and have beautiful eye-catching designs. Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom's vehicles look bland and lack any character of their own. This is why they go back to the Explorer and the Jeep.

Even the JP3 plane had more character than the JW2 plane.

Yeah the gyrospheres were just plain idiotic. Ok we need to stretch our imaginations for these movies but they were a great example of the differences between the original movie and Jurassic World. Jurassic Park was always realistic in its depiction of a theme park. Completely controlled conditions, cars on rails behind electrified fences. Muldoon even points out they needed "locking mechanisms on the car doors" when you think about it so much of the film was based around security and Spielberg went out of his way to depict it. That's what made the impact of Nedry turning off the systems so catastrophic.

Cut to Jurassic World and we have open vans driving next to gallimimus (which could easily kill a human defensively), the moasaur arena (if that thing leapt out the water like we know it can do it would land on about 150 people and also it snatches the Indominus from the walkway where people would normally be), ridiculous petting zoos in which children ride on the backs of dinosaurs (moronic) and worst of all big glass balls that you DRIVE YOURSELF through huge dinosaur enclosures. Just mind boggling stupidity on the part of the filmmakers. They felt like a crappy idea on paper and a cool art design on a wall that somehow made it in.

The whole of Jurassic World showed very little attention to security or even common sense that it became harder to believe than the CG Dino's.

I think the point of all of that was to show what happens if you relax attitudes too much (like if in the real world we stopped security checks at airports). It makes a dumb audience feel smart in the way that big blockbuster hollywood movies tend to, and make smart people get bored or annoyed.

I don't remember the reasoning behind the laissez-faire approach (or even if they provided reasoning), I haven't watched the film since I saw it that one time I was bored enough to drum up the enthusiasm, but I'm going to bet either budget cutbacks or liberal interference was both or in part responsible.

Looks good. The approach they've taken (dinosaur conservation) makes a nice change. I do wish they'd have kept the 'T-rex stepping in to save humans moment' for the film itself. It would've been a nice albeit overused moment.

IMDB has updated their page.

More camera information has been provided -

Arri Alexa 65
Arri Alexa XT
Panavision Cameras and Lenses

ARRIRAW (3.4K) (6.5K) (source format)
Digital Intermediate (master format)
Dolby Vision

So, it wasn't shot entirely on the Alexa 65. I bet only the VFX plate shots are Alexa 65. Live action and dialogue stuff are all going to be on the regular Alexa XT.

Looks like the island where Jurassic World was has a volcano erupt and now the dinosaurs are in danger of being killed. But let's say Jurassic World's I-Rex escape didn't happen and everything operated normally. Then we'd have a theme park WITH people AND dinosaurs in danger because of a volcano eruption lol.

It feels so manufactured. I mean, they had no choice but to make a sequel, but still.

Potential spoiler regarding the return of an old character:

[Show spoiler]Sam Neill Rumored to Return in ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’

Quote:
Mr. Sunday Movies made a wild claim that Sam Neill could be returning to Jurassic Park as Dr. Alan Grant in J. A. Bayona‘s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

According to the video, Neill was spotted in a blacked-out SUV on set during filming, which suggested he could be making a surprise cameo. In regards to the source, they previously broke the news about Matt Damon’s cameo in Thor: Ragnarok. Take it for what it’s worth.

It’s surprising they’ve kept this secret being that they made a whole bunch of noise behind Jeff Goldblum‘s return as Ian Malcolm, which was confirmed in the first trailer debut earlier this week. Goldblum is rumored to just be a cameo, with the trailer implying he’s testifying as to why these dinosaurs need to be saved. Is this the same sequence that we’d see Neill make his return? Personally, I hope we see them both back in a larger capacity. Neill last battled dinos in Jurassic Park III.

J. A. Bayona (A Monster Calls) directed the new installment. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are returning for the sequel, which also stars Jeff Goldblum, along with Justice Smith, James Cromwell, and Toby Jones. Colin Trevorrow, who directed Jurassic World, wrote the script for the sequel with Derek Connolly.

Life finds a way on June 22, 2018.

Gosh, I hope so!

Well, if that was supposed to be a surprise cameo, it certainly ain't one anymore. I had no idea that Damon appears in Thor, either.

Anyway, Grant was my childhood hero. I wanted so much to have the same outfit he wore in JP. To my eyes he was cooler than Indiana Jones.

Of course it's manufactured. It didn't just sprout out of the ground, fully realized.

I wonder how you'd have felt about it if Harrison Ford hadn't turned down the part. It'd be Ford the archaeologist vs. Ford the paleontologist.

I think Ford's Grant would have been even more cantankerous.

JP could've starred Harrison Ford and Juliette Binoche. Very interesting. Of course, now that I'm used to it, I think Neill and Dern are absolutely perfect.
