Black Christmas (1974)

I rented this movie during the old Netflix DVD days over 10 years ago and I really liked it, but I haven't seen it since. I finally picked up the Shout Factory BD and thankfully after this second viewing I'm still a fan. I'm glad I finally own it so I can add it to my yearly Christmas movie rotation. Four stars.

Dolores Claiborne (first-time watch) ½

I really enjoyed the story, but I think the thing I appreciate the most about this film are the accents. It always drives me absolutely nuts watching supposedly set-in-Maine Stephen King adaptations where it doesn't sound like any character has stepped foot east of the Mississippi, let alone been to Maine. While not perfect, the key actors pull off some passable Downeast Mainah accents here and it's pretty fantastic. Finally a Stephen King movie that actually sounds like it's set in Maine!
