Yesterday I had to hand my card to the ticket ticker since the theater I went to did not have a ticket kiosk. The guy didnt ask me anything just swiped my card and made me sign their receipt copy.

I've never had to do this yet. Theater case-by-case perhaps?

I will post this in case anyone has a question about it. It goes not work to use the same smartphone (iPhones atleast) to check into a movie for 2 different accounts. My sisters phone died (no she had no charger with her) just as she was getting ready to check in. So my daughter checked in and then bought her ticket. She then signed out and signed into my sisters account. It just kept telling her failed to create registration or something like that. She tried to sign out and force close the app and sign back in again. Repeat this and shut down phone nothing worked. I signed into my sisters account and did a drive by and checked in for her. She was then able to buy her ticket. Just thought I’d pass that on incase anyone tried it.

It was local art house theater. Since they are typically a small theather by standards I guess they need a signed receipt.

Yep. Depends on the theater and staff running it. Regal and Galaxy take mine with no signature or ID presented. My local Regency asks for ID and then to sign the credit card receipt.

Quick question about Sinema(I know this is the movie pass thread but Sinema is talked about here). If I sign up for it now, when does my membership start? I like to have it start around the middle of the month to be with my Movie Pass subscription payment time frame.

To be fair they only had around 600,000 members about a month ago. I don't know if it's grown to millions

They did an interview a week ago with some stats. Still at 600k subscribers, and now MoviePass on average accounts for 2% of a film's domestic box office (Roman J Isreal Esq is the highest MoviePass % ever at over 13%, and Three Billboards was also over 10%, though for tentpoles like Justice League and Coco they were under 2% in the opening week).

yup. I had the same thing. I have tried for over two weeks now to contact them through email, web form, twitter, Facebook, and phone, and have still been unable to get a reply, much less get it fixed
