Yeah the service works fine, but it's still baffling to me that they can't get their customer service under control after four months. That's the thing that makes me hesitate to recommend it to other people

There was an issue with dispersing the funds for yesterday's trip to Justice League, I probably should've kept the receipt so I could complain. Oh well, 1 hiccup out of almost 30 trips is fine.

I think they were trying to tell you you've seen that movie enough already.

I have a question that may have been addressed already, but this forum is enormous and I can't find it.

Does anyone know what happens if you try to buy two tickets with MoviePass? If it works the way I think it does, I was under the impression that once you check in, it activates your card for the maximum amount at which that theatre typically sells tickets, and then you buy your ticket. So, if you buy two tickets, would it potentially cover part of the second ticket and you just pay the excess?

Like, say checking in activates your card for $8. If the tickets are $5 each, and you attempt to buy two at once, would the card work for the full $8 and you pay $2? Or is there a way that they know you're attempting to buy two tickets and deny it?

This question was a bit of a mess, so I apologize in advance. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

Translation: "hey guys, is it possible to abuse the system and potentially ruin it for everyone?"

No can’t do that. It’s also against the terms of use agreement. And it’s not how it’s intended to be used.

Yes, you can do that in the sense that it is possible. But when they catch you, they can charge you $25 per incident (in the terms) and/or cancel your account (also in the terms)

This deal is already a steal. Why abuse it?

This could be a good or bad thing. The more popular they get the more they will likely raise their prices in the future.

Probably going to be going to the movies 4 times a week these next two weekends since I will have Mondays off. Time to really give MoviePass a workout.

Going to be spending the next 2 weeks in Canada. Looking forward to an actual white Christmas...not looking forward to paying out-of-pocket for movies.

I’ve just been charged $80 today. Has anyone else who signed up for the annual but charged for the monthly experienced this? I’m thinking one of my messages got through and they collected the rest for the annual switch.

Ha so I got a survey from my visit on 12/18. They were asking things like how much more would you pay for a 3d/imax upgrade and I said 10 dollars...and then a question that I mis read asking how much did I spend on concessions in 2017 and I just spit out 300 dollars and it wouldn't let me enter it, so I re-read it and it was how much did I spend on 12/18/17 on concessions and I said 14 and it worked. That's a first. Why would they suddenly ask me after weeks of using the MP?

Probably trying to compile concession figures so they can go to the theater chains and be like, "Look how much our customers are spending on concessions! Don't you want to buy us?! PLEASE?! BUY US! ...we're dying."

Got "Would you have seen this movie if not for Moviepass?" surveys for Jigsaw and Murder on the Orient Express. Same thing basically. Something they can take to theaters.

Spoiler: The theaters don't care.

Hope they fix their app by early next year when I have to switch credit cards.
