They ship to the U.S. This happens to us here in Canada too, certain items sold by "other" amazons that they just won't ship here. Make sure the source is actually amazon and not "fulfilled by amazon" etc., amazon has gotten really picky about some of those these days. Sometimes it's a licensing issue too.

And sometimes, it seems to me, just my opinion, but the price in one country's amazon severely undercuts the price in another country's amazon *for the exact same product* and amazon doesn't like you trying to get around that. Since you're in the U.S. buying from Canada, I would suspect this. I mean, it just ain't normal to choose to buy in Canada if you don't have to... [This is not so when purchasing from UK amazon because almost always it's not the exact same product.]

Amz.com has started more prime only deals as well, and since Prime isn’t universal across all regions that limits things too.

There are a few things at good prices are on .com but are behind the US prime paywall.

Try editing your shipping address a bit. I had that happen to me a few times before and it was because I had a PO Box number in my address. I removed the PO Box number and my order went through fine afterwards.

By "licensing issue": look at the back of a lot of BDs (and UHDs) these days, and though they look roughly the same (but bilingual) and seem to have the same content as the U.S. versions, they say they're not for sale outside Canada. Could be that.

Presuming you're in Canada, buying from Amazon.ca .. it's free? Amazon provides the postage label for you through their service.

..

Oh, has anyone ordered the latest release of the Christmas Vacation blu for $10.00, if so, is it the remastered edition? (Remastered is just a red disc, no other art)

I think it's only free if it is their fault. If you just changed your mind, then you have to pay return shipping. As for the amount, it depends on the number of BDs you are returning.

Not in my experiences.

Unless things have changed, I returned an unopened bilingual copy of Pinocchio after ordering the English version. No questions asked, and it was totally with their free shipping label system.

I think if it's Amazon's fault for sending you an incorrect/damaged item, then they will cover the return shipping. If you just don't want the item anymore because you don't need it, then I believe you have to pay for the return shipping.

Wouldn't that make buying with Amazon a pain compared to other places that you can just return the goods with out having to pay anything?

I have only had to return something once. A pair of shoes, first time and prob last I would order shoes online without having tries them on. It didn't go smoothly because of credits I made the purchase with etc. But in terms of shippin g it back to them I didn't have to pay more for that.

That's what I thought, too.

I have just read the return policy and it does specify free shipping if it's their error. Strange... I could swear it was more open than that...

I've returned a couple products due to them being damaged on arrival. The Pinocchio blu is the only thing I've returned due to wanting the english version. I think for that one I specified I made the order in error, can't recall. Still, free shipping back to them in that case. If my experience does not reflect the overall consensus then I apologize for leading the common ideology astray.

It does seem odd that amz who is currently bashing retail into a pulp would have a one way street of returns. The horror stories I hear of folks abusing retail returns and getting away with bloody murder (like killing lawnmowers, fridges, computers w/e) make me quite aware why such systems are in place. But if you didn't open the non-food product within 30 days, it seems like a pretty morally ok thing - much like returning a product to a store unopen, the customer shouldn't be penalized if the store can still sell that product or not lose money on it.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

Just an update. If the blu-ray isn't defective/damaged, then it costs $7.98 to return it.

You also have the option of paying for the return shipping yourself - if it's in a thin bubble mailer you should be able to send it via letter mail and it will be $1.90 if under 100 grams (very common for Blu-rays) and $3.10 if it tips over the 100 gram level.

If two Blu-rays, they will fit in a bubble mailer side-by-side (to maintain a thin envelope) and would likely be $3.10 to return together.

Yes, this is the best method.

Amazon is great, but they aren't perfect. I once ordered something and then it went on sale at Best Buy or Walmart for $10 less or something like that.

Amazon would not price match or the item was already delivered. Anyways, my option was to return to Amazon for a refund minus the shipping which would have eaten away the savings anyway.

I could have lied and said it arrived damaged so I could get free return shipping, but I didn't.

Default Dark knight trilogy

Dark knight trilogy is 49.99$ right now at amazon.ca
https://www.amazon.ca/Knight-Trilogy...ds=dark+knight

Seems to be cheap (from MSRP 99.99, was 79.99)

This is totally not fair... I don't have a UHD setup yet, but I know this probably will be the cheapest this set will be for the next year. I don't need this crazy price right now... :\

Also, as a heads up, the Batman 1960s series is going for $59.99. Might be time to snag this before Disney gets ahold of it after the Fox merger goes through. Not sure how that partnership is going to go with WB over a superhero franchise that's not Marvel.
