Press "info" button on remote, then go over to "options", afterwards you should adjust picture modes to the way you like it like Vivid for example. |

Currently at $25 at Walmart, which is insane for a 4K UHD player with HDR capability as well as 3D capability. It's cheaper than regular BD player without WiFi too.

At the one store I visited that supposedly had it in stock (they searched high and low and just couldn't find the two supposed players left), the guy I spoke to said they were on final clearance. So, I assume the players won't be restocked.

I was also told by a Walmart manager that they were left over from Black Friday.

Every time I put a disc in it changes the picture mode back to 'basic' even though I left it on my 'user' setting. Is there a way to change the default setting to User mode?

I don't think there's a way to make "User Setting" or "Vivid" the new default setting.

Bought the 875 from Best Buy and was a little worrried that the player wasn’t showing the best quality picture. The movies seemed dark at first especially when compared to streaming in 4K. Well, in order to get the best and brightest picture, you have to manually go to the settings in the LG player and turn the brightness all the way up. This made a huge difference! My only worry is whether I will have to raise the brightness every time I watch a movie, meaning, it doesn’t store my adjusted setting.

Anyone have an audio issue? I picked this up from Best Buy in early January and only recently have come across an issue where it sounds like the audio is like cutting in and out and almost trying to speed up at the same time.
Happened with Spaceballs and Criterion’s Silence of the Lambs, but if I rewind it to before the issue started it will play back fine. |

I originally bought the similarly priced Magnavox and returned it due to the image looking dark. I now wonder if it was also due to the player’s menu having to be adjusted. Did not look closely enough for the few hours I had it. |

Only the units that had a region unblocking chip installed are of course region-free, the regular units are actually region-locked therefore only Region 1 (US and Canada) DVDs and Region A Blu-rays (North America, Latin America, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean islands) are playable unless the Blu-ray disc is region-free to begin with.

Being that you have to adjust the display settings within the player to get the best quality picture, does anyone have any recommended settings? And I am referring to the the display settings in the option menu that pulls while you are watching a movie. There are a couple of default settings such as Standard and Vivid, neither of which look good to me.

I have been messing with the player’s settings that pop up while watching a 4K blu-ray and the following settings look best for me:
Contrast -2 Brightness 2 Color 2 Sharpness 0 These were adjusted under User setting. None of the preset settings such as Standard and Vivid looked good to me. Also, I have a Sony 900E and I am using the display calibration settings on Rtings website for this particular TV. I’m sure the TV settings I am using have an impact on how the player settings affect the picture, but I thought I would share either way. Still annoyed that I still have to choose my user setting on the player EVERY time I pop in a 4K blu-ray. |
