Modern Warfare vs. World at War

I have both, Modern Warfare online defenetly beats W@W hands down....if you are looking for online play....i beat the story mode (which was really good) on W@W and played a few times online but haven't played it since...i'm still addicted to Modern Warfare...

World at War was better than I expected it to be, but I think Modern Warfare is still the better of the two.

The online maps in MW seem much better (bigger, better layout, etc) than W@W, but that could also just be a personal preference.

I didnt think I would like WaW as much but I do! I too was worried about the older weapons, but they arent all single shot guns, just like in MW they had some single shot guns as well....

Its the online maps that sold me, love the new levels. The detail is better, the surroundings is better, more stuff to hide behind and go unnoticed when your trying to flank people. You blend in more with everything and don't stick out like a sore thumb all the time.

I would recommend it.

i do believe its a great game... as Call of Dutys tend to be awesome... but, it almost seems like more of a strategic based online game.... which i tend to associate with Socom for some reason, so if i wanted that id probably get Socom...

meaning... they suck in the 1 player mode to kill... or are u saying you can get in tanks in the online play??

there's tanks in the multiplayer and they ruin the game! n my opinion!

yea, i dont like that.... i hope theyre not gonna start copying Warhawk.... Warhawk is sick... but they are completely different games and should remain that way

World at War imo has a better campaign, this is ugly like wwII was.....burning
soldiers out of their entrenched positions is worth the money alone

that being said you don't get as many "cheap" kills online cause the guns
except for the real good snipers don't have the red dot and therefore
usually unless your a dead eye are not as accurate....

That being said the ppsh41 or whatever it's called is pretty damn cool for
a gun that's over 60 years old

I just sold my WaW to get Valkryia Chronicles. I'm happy with my decision.

yea i hear what your saying, i def agree about the campaign mode... but online... i like the chaos of runnin around wit an ak-47, getting lucky kills and all of that.. i think thats y i like call of duty so much... more for the online play

i like W@W but i liked Modern Warfare better... Im playing W@W now because its new, the guns are different, and its a change from the same damn gameplay after awhile... i play it cuz its new and i rank up here with all the other new people. The only reason MW is coming back is because W@W was released...

I find W@W is basically the same game as MW. Just different weapons for the time periods. Mechanically, the game plays about the same. If you liked MW, I'd suggest W@W as well.

MW & W@W are both great games

MW i have beat on veteran and went into prestige mode and stopped.

Now im playing W@W just going thru the motions. Fun game on and offline.

Zombie mode with some friends is cool too.

World at War is great. I love the weapons and the co-op is just as fun.

Modern Warfare is a better COD. But for the time being, play W@W. It's a good game, but no where close to being MW. And yes, best gun in the game is the STG-44. Most of the guns have the sight, but some don't. Let's just enjoy W@W until the new modern warfare comes out.
