It looks like Battle of the Sexes might be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray release in the UK too!

The Ritual is only dvd too!
So annoying as this movie is Netflix everywhere else so no chance of importing it either!
Entertainment One is worst offender of this.

According to baseorg.uk, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri will now be getting a 4K UHD Blu-ray release on May 21st!

Previously, the film was only down for a (standard) Blu-ray, DVD and Digital release in the UK.

I’ve noticed both Tesco’s in York are reducing the range of films they stock on blu-ray. I tried buying Call Me By Your Name last week and they only had it on DVD. Ditto Loving Vincent and God’s Own Country.

It's been like that for a while, Asda and Sainsbury's are the same, more so Asda. It's pitiful.

Sainsbury’s in Harrogate has a tiny DVD/blu-ray section. It’s like the CD/DVD section you’d see in WH Smith at a service station!

I try to buy everything from HMV in York but the Pure points hard sell at the counter has started to stress me out. The shop assistants are lovely but they insist on telling me, in a carefully rehearsed conversational tone, that I would have earned X number of points. I don’t have the heart to point out they’ve been telling me for at least ten years now! My loyalty is free.

Unfortunately, it's part of their job to do so, every. single. time.

They will have secret shoppers come in at least once a week with a list of things to mark on, that will be one of them. If they don't ask, they'll be made to explain why by store managers, who will be made to explain why by area managers etc.

Plus, y'know, it's kind of a no-brainer to get one if you buy all your blu rays there.

I was cynical about Pure points for ages until I tried it; since then I've had £60 worth of free stuff and by the end of the year will probably have points for another £50 redemption... hope that doesn't stress you too much

Still waiting on a release of True Lies, the great Arnie flick as well as a UK release of Rob Zombie's version of Halloween

Also would be awesome to finally get a blu release of the Jude Law/Rachel Weisz/Ed Harris wartime flick of Enemy at the Gates

I don't know if other people have mentioned it, but Thank You For Your Service doesn't appear to have been released on Blu-ray or DVD for that matter.

As if there was any doubt, the US blu is region locked.

If you're buying everything at HMV you should buy one. As you get double points on every blu-ray it takes about 50 full price releases to get enough points for £50 store credit. That's the equivalent of one free full price release for each 15 you buy. Perhaps not the most generous of loyalty schemes but hardly a kick in the teeth.

Personally I can't believe that for the sake of a one off £3 charge and a mistrust and dislike of store cards (the Pure card is the only store card I own) I'd been missing out on £50's worth of "free" stuff every 6 or 7 month. Especially as a) it didn't change my spending habits and b) both online and on the highstreet HMV are 99% of the time the cheapest or joint cheapest.

Looks like Unsane is only getting a DVD release here but 4K UHD in the US.

I noticed the other day that Suburbicon has gone straight to Amazon Prime! Not too surprising considering it's box office flop (I thought it was pretty good, though obviously flawed), but this is pretty sad for a "prestige" film that was expected to be an Oscar contender.

It's crazy to me Fox would drop a Soderbergh film on DVD only, and yet StudioCanal deemed Logan Lucky worthy of a UHD 4K release. I know they were filmed differently, but the appeal is similar for both. Unsane deserves a regular BD at the very least!

TBH they could change their minds. I believe the release date has been put back to July 23rd, so the Amazon listing for the DVD is wrong.

The seemingly never ending swathes of unsold blu rays ending up in Poundland is probably a good indicator why Some studios aren't taking a chance on releasing blus of a lot of these titles.
