Default Blu Ray Audio?

I currently have a PS3 and a Full HD television. I am wanting to take advantage of the blu ray player's audio capabilities with a home theater. Thus, I am asking anyone if they know of a home theater that will playback full blu ray potential on a modest budget, say 4-5 hundred dollars. Any suggestions?

Ok, forget about price, it is negligible. What do you recommend as a good system for blu ray audio?

This will get you there for around $630. If you shop around you would probably be able to find better deals, too.

well the ps3 will do pcm and almost every home theater system will handle it. I have a phillips 2.0 system in my room and it handles pcm so i get hd audio. Just search for a htib that has pcm and your good to go

Onkyo HT-S6100

And no offense, but 2.0 is not taking full advantage of Blu-ray.

At such a small size, can the Polk RM6750's deliver a powerful sound? I know they're good quality... but I also want something with power.

he said he wanted to take advantage of Blu-Ray audio, getting a cheap HTiB isn't going to get him the actual feel of the movie and at that price range that is really all you can get. A cheap receiver and small speakers

just my two cents

Either the Onkyo 606 or Sony 720 w/ the Polk 6750s sounds like a great upgrade on your budget.

They're a few Sony receivers around 300-500 range that decode all the HD audio codecs offered on Blu. Not sure the model. Buy a 2.1 setup first. Your receiver, two speakers, and a small sub. That might land you in the 500-600 range. Any buy the center speaker and surrounds later.

It's an excellent start. If you want to upgrade later on, that amp can handle very nice speakers.
