Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

When did Scream last release a Morgan Creek title though? I recall only 4 in 2016 (Bad Moon, The Crush, Dead Ringers, Exorcist III) so it might be that it was a very limited deal.

I thought Shout Factory owned the domestic rights to all Morgan Creek properties (with the exception of Young Guns).

As far as Morgan Creek goes, I'd surmise that Renegades, Pacific Heights, White Sands, Freejack, Stay Tuned, Chasers, and Diabolique would all be of interest to their sub-labels, so who knows? Maybe they don't own rights anymore.

I was surprised we didn't see some of those titles you mention back in 2016 and into 2017, so I have to think Shout don't have them for whatever reason. Maybe they could go back to Morgan Creek if someone else hasn't got there first, but if they are still interested, and the option is still there, I don't know why it has taken so long.

I thought it was just select titles, and not the entire library.

I know Morgan Creek was looking to sell it's library, but I don't think anyone has actually purchased it, yet.

Shout! hasn't released a Morgan Creek title since November 2016 (Dead Ringers), so I tend to think they've already released the titles they licensed.

I hope so, I would love a CE of Dr. Giggles. The split disc with Otis was bare bones and the German import which I've been mulling on pulling the trigger on is also bare bones from what I can find out about it.

Prince of Darkness has a spine slash, but other than that, both arrived in great shape.

If Scream Factory announces those titles i mentioned even Critters movies with 1 and 2 in CEs plus a boxset, Child's Play 2 CE, Child's Play 3 CE, Creepshow CE, Deadly Friend CE, Dr. Giggles CE, Demolition Man CE, Beetlejuice CE, Tremors CE and more then i'm sure they would be bestsellers for Shout you know and i'm willing to bet It's Alive trilogy will sell well since the movies have a huge cult following as fans have been asking that trilogy to be on blu.

How about Poltergeist Collector's Edition with 2K or 4K restoration with documentary, featurettes, inteviews, commentary by a Poltergeist fan historian, tv spots, trailers and poster and still gallery? this would sell like ribs at Chiles well for fans and can be one of the biggest bestsellers in the library.

I don't think there's a question that Scream would jump at the chance of releasing CE's of most of the obvious Warner titles - it's just a question of whether or not they can get their hands on them.

Road Warrior is in desperate need of a 2K or 4K restored CE blu-ray badly you know and can sell well with fans of the film.
