Nothing. We need Lolita before any other Kubrick film. Well, Lolita or Eyes Wide Shut.

Eyes Wide Shut could definitely do with a little TLC.

Days of Wine and Roses?

Edit: Yeah, I'm terrible with these clues.

Either one of them would be good for me.

Raisin in the Sun seems both too simple and too sloppy, since they're not as-of-yet raisins... But I guess the poem conflates grapes/raisins too: "Does it dry //like a raisin in the sun?"

The suntan lotion bottle makes me think something else is up, too... It should stop the damage/drying out... so some sort of pun about tanning/tannins?

Noticed the suntan lotion too. Also, there would be multiple raisins, not just one. Don't know how literal Criterion are being here but their clues have been fairly straightforward a lot of the time.

Raisin in the Sun does seem way too obvious, but I can't think of a sound alternative.

A single grape in the drawing might look like an olive, and a raisin might look like a rock or charcoal. Maybe this is an Occam's razor type clue and the simplest explanation is the correct one.

I'm trying to figure out how to turn this into Sideways, but I can't.

But those other movies do need a Blu-ray release.

I feel like the suntan lotion is supposed to make the grapes last longer, if that helps. It can't be there for no reason. Which would seem to indicate avoiding becoming raisins.

It could be about the fact that it's a "bunch" of grapes, which makes The Wild Bunch come immediately to mind, but there's nothing particularly wild about the drawing. I've seen Raisin(g) Arizona mentioned on AVS and Reddit, still doesn't seem right.

Theory 1: There's tanning lotion, the value 50 and 19 grapes. If we multiply the 19 by 2 and add it to the 50 we get 88. So it's clearly an upgrade for Tanner '88

Theory 2: The multitude of grapes is going to lead to a number of films. The Grapes of Wrath, The Grapes of Death, What's Eating Gilbert Grape? [eating/heating what with the sun...] and others.

Avoiding becoming a prune.....a movie about the fear of aging/old age/staying young?
