I don't think they feel comfortable planning out that far without a renewal. They have an idea of where they want to go, but they're only mapping to their current order.

The ratings aren't the best. The network likes the show, and supposedly has "realistic expectations" for it's new Friday night death slot, but I think it's 70/30 they're going to cancel it, and 50/50 that CW would pick it up after that

That's sad =/. Didn't it pull a record for best premiere ratings in s1? Wonder why it dropped so much since...

I don't about CW... their more interested in teen girl dramas than action/sci-fi now. I like both but I prefer the second.

CW needs a Smallville replacement, and WB is very much about pimping the franchise right now with the new movie. They may not have a choice in the matter.

It's educated speculation. I hope it stays on Fox where it belongs for 5+ years.

Man I don't want it to end. I hate to see Smallville go too. It was the first show I bought on dvd and got into =/.
