It ends with Bran getting up and walking......yes WALKING away from Winterfell, heading North.....with the last shot a close-up of his eyes.......as they turn blue.......

I have been imagining this ending ever since season one!

I don't think she is horrible by any means. If you see Emilia Clarke in interviews or in Me Before You, then I think you'd realise how good she is as Dany. I think a lot of what people complain about when it comes to Emilia's acting is actually down to the character of Dany. That's just who the character is. People have the same problem with Kim Dickens in FTWD. It's not bad acting - it's just the character that they're playing.

There simply has to be a satisfying ending for Cersei. I'm thinking about Joffrey's chalice when I type that.

If the directors and the creator go against that, well then, we know what his motivations were. I could even see the showrunners diverging to a completely different route than the (alleged) upcoming books in regards to her fate. It will not be unsatisfying.

We already got satisfaction with Littlefinger for Sansa, but I don't think Sansa is done. After the way that Cersei treated Sansa for the first 3 seasons, Sansa better get her revenge. This, to me, is the biggest feud in the whole show.

Sansa being the "younger, more beautiful" queen from the prophecy Cersei heard as a child is a very common fan theory. Especially since the only other candidate is Dany, but it wouldn't fit for it to be her.

I get that the price will come down, but people outside the US are being especially screwed with this release.

Same prices (roughly) as the US but a total absence of digital copies. Disney are the same with their releases. What gives?

Who the hell would buy just 1 season in 4K at this point? The series ends next year. I want a complete UHD box set.

It’s a catch 22 as if people don’t buy they may not make more.

Yep, I've never even seen this show but I don't have to to know that if sales for S1 aren't great then it may not augur well for further seasons or some bigass complete boxset down the road. IIRC it's been released in a couple different iterations already so this is gonna be a hard sell, particularly once the "it was only shot in 1080p, it'll look exactly the same as the Blu-ray" comments gain traction.

There are also several seasons of this show I don’t ever feel the desire to watch again. Love that first season (and book) though.

Not to sound selfish or ignorant, but I think (at least the version posted) this IS a US release. There may be interntn'l versions released as well. The beauty is that UHD discs are NOT region coded....but it makes perfect sense that the US certainly cannot dictate what is released digitally overseas. So sorry about that!

Actually, the BD releases all included digiHD as well, plus this is also on HBO GO/NOW. So be sure this series isn't going anywhere soon.

Also, I want to note the cover clearly states the DigiHD versions are NOT in 4K.
