Default HDTV explained by people who know very little

On PBS they had some one talking about the kinds of HDTV and I belive he was wrong.

He said:

Plasma (correct)
LCD (correct)
Rear Projection (correct)
SXRD (incorrect as far as I know)

SXRD is a make of Sony TV's

That's like listing

Cars
Vans
SUVS
Trucks
and Ferrari instead of saying sports car.

SXRDs uses LCoS (liquid crystal on silicon), so I guess that could be considered a different technology than LCD.

It's still a type of rear projection television, one that Sony no longer manufactures furthermore.

They should have included front projection.

I worked at Best Buy in Magnolia HT for a while. I used to get great questions like

"Whats the difference between HDTV and Plasma?"

One time a guy asked me what the difference was between a "Plasma TV and an LSD TV". I told him that when you watch the LSD TV you see the reeeeeeeeeeally cool colors
