As long as I have fun playing a game I could care less about trophies.

I'm only obessed about trophys in games that I enjoy playing. I will not get all the trophys in a game that I do not enjoy to play.

Nice link for PS3 trophies. I added an account today now just working on adding the trophies to my profile.

I wish they linked direct to the account though.

I'm obsessed with doable trophies and on games I really like, like uncharted for example. What I really like about trophies is that they add to the replayability of the game so they can add a second life to short game like prince of persia. Also I don't like online trophy (because I don't like much online games... and don't have enough time too invest in online gaming) but I understand they are fun for one who do play alot online.

I'm not obsessed with trophies but it does make me do things within games that I may not normally do, e.g. play on the hardest difficulty or doing specific things. Case in point being Dead Space, currently I have 44 of the 49 trophies. I knew about the one gun trophy before I started playing and on my first play through I just used the plasma cutter and didn't bother with any of the other weapons. No way would I have done that if there wasn't a trophy for it, but I also enjoyed the little extra challenge of it. I'm on chapter 8 and have all but the following trophies :

Level 6 zero-g basketball (took me a few goes just to get off level 1!)
The 2 cannon mini-game type things were you have to have 50% shield left (I'm rubbish at these so don't like my chances)
Then complete on impossible which will also give me a platinum (assuming I've managed to get the others first)

I might add that it does help that this is a very good game and if it hadn't been I probably wouldn't have bothered to play through more than once.

Definitely not obsessed but I do have over 300 trophies

I'd get my Dead Space Platinum if I could still use my old save game file before I got that Saved Game - PSN Password Reset bug which corrupted them.

I'd like to say no to this, but I find myself putting Tombraider to the side in favor of Drake's Fortune for the trophys.

I finally went platinum on Mercs2 a couple of weeks ago.

I have to say though...I have a pretty nice looking history of gaming resume and I'm a little put off by the Little Big Planet trophies. That little sack S.O.B. just doesn't go where I want him to go most of the time and the control is so ragged. Everybody on my friend's list has 100% though and it is starting to bug me.

Did you guys collect all the stickers alone or with people??? (this question excludes the sticker that you HAVE to have friends to get.)

Thanks guys

This obsession is taking over my life!
Will not consider a game complete until I have done all the trophies

I think I may have an OCD for PS3 trophies!!!

Its a cool site. Most of the people on there are pretty chill. Hopefully when Home is fully featured and out of Beta Sony will figure it out on the auto updating.

I'd probably do that if I didn't have to manually put it all of my trophys.

I'd getting close to going over 400.

You have to start a new game to play on 'impossible' because you can't change difficulty. Annoying because I'll lose my level 6 suit and all the weapons (plus eveything I have stored) Guess it wouldn't be quite so impossible if I started with all that

The same happened to me, I only played Tomb Raider for about half an hour then put it back in its case. All that was on my mind was that they'll probably do a trophy patch and I can't be bothered to play through this game again. Strangely that thought never entered my head with Uncharted, I actually looked forward to playing it through again (still have to do it on hard and crushing though if I want another platinum).

This. If I get them along the way, cool. I'm not going to chase them and do specific stuff to get them...

Its more of a nuisance than anything. Once you start its not hard, its just annoying on principle.

I generally agree with that for the absurd and impossible to get trophies that make you play the game in unnatural ways, but in some cases being mindful of some trophies actually makes you play the game in a more robust manner in line of the experience the developers were hoping for.

You must be misinterpretting what I said.

I cannot play my Saved Game as I got the PSN Password bug which corrupted my Saved Game file. Therefore I would have to play a brand new game. I was about to finish the 'Upgrading All Your Items' and 'Plasma Cutter' Trophys.

Probably

I've not heard of this bug you've mentioned. Hope it's not widespread

Don't worry, its only if you change your password on the PSN account for it to get you. So far it hasn't been resolved from Sony yet, so I don't recommend changing it until the next firmware.
