It just looks gamey and out of place, if there was a real, physical thing on set, we would see a completely different lighting on that raptor in terms of self-shadowing, highlights, and indirect light sources.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to have thought this. Stuck out like a sore thumb!

That Raptor shot from Fallen Kingdom does look awful. Just look at the teeth. That's Wolverine CGI claw-level right there. The skin looks oily like an XBox 360 cutscene and the eye is cartoony.

Jurassic World still only shows HD on my Itunes at the moment.

They work on the VFX shots right up until the premiere. Also some motion shots look odd when you see a single still.

Not worried one bit.

I'm beginning to think Universal isn't going to announce this set officially or give any details about whether these are new transfers or not. I know there's a brand new movie coming out, but what a letdown this 25th anniversary celebration for JP has been so far.

I hope so. Still, makes you wonder why they chose that shot for the trailer if it wasn't going to be up to par with everything else.

Pre-ordered on amazon on March 31st and my order is still standing. Hopefully it won't fall victim to this series of cancellations I've been reading about.

If its the cheaper option then definitely, the discs are the important bit so does it really matter if the future films are in individual cases next to the boxset? have managed to keep my head from exploding having the Star Wars Saga set with Episode VII, Rogue One and Episode VIII next to it lol

I'm getting the boxset because it's ~$12 per movie, and I have a crap ton of empty UHD cases and can put together my own 4K + 3D sets for the first movie and for World, and can make custom matching cover art with the real logos and so on. Essentially make it the set it should've been with very little effort. And it'll be easy to make the Fallen Kingdom and sixth movie match just by printing jackets for those as well.

Also I want the US discs and this is the only way to get the US discs so I'm making do.

Check your account for hidden purchases. That's what happened to mine: it was inexplicably hidden (and I most certainly did not do it myself.) Once you unhide it, it should show up in 4K in your library.

I guess it's how you look at it. Sure, the lack of info about these releases is irritating but the fact we're getting 4k JP/JW movies at all is exciting.

It just depends on how OCD you are. I'm OCD but not enough to wait four years to buy a 4k boxed set of all 6 JP/JW movies when I can have 4 of them now.

May 11th is Universal's big celebration for the 25th Anniversary. I wouldn't be surprised if a bigger announcement about this set comes out around then.

Could you please provide me with scans of the custom cover art?

No hidden items, signed in and out too all I can access is the old HD version even though its listed as 4K HDR. If I look in the store instead of play download it just gives the option to buy.

I was hoping to hold out for individual releases, but I think I'm going to cave and pre-order to BB steelbook. Since it says "25th Anniversary Collection" instead of "Complete Collection", my OCD won't be as bad when I have to stack the next two films next to them. Also, the Jurassic films are some of my absolute favorite movies to watch, so I know I'm going to get good use out of them until the inevitable double sextuple dip.

That said, I'll only be compelled to buy these films again if they get appealing individual steelbooks or a complete series box set after JP6/JW3.

I watched the first hour of The Lost World via iTunes in 4K HDR. It’s a pleasing transfer. Grain is evident, lots of detail, nice colours. It’s definitely a scan of the OCN because grain looks fine and natural, not blocky. However it is still visibly compressed so looking forward to seeing the disc.

Can you provide a few screenshots, even if taken by your camera/phone? I'd like to see the colours.

They won't. iTunes 4K HDR version is the best this movie ever looked, disc version can be only better due to less compressed image.
