For whatever it's worth, there's a line in IW that is not understood if the viewer has not seen Iron Man 3.

we saw it yesterday at the big mall at the AMC Dolby Cinema theater and WE LOVED IT! perfect 5/5

it's the best comic book movie I've ever seen to date. it had everything in just the right amounts and did everything perfectly.

I've never sat in a comic book movie and actually heard people crying and I mean crying out loud too!

my own eyes watered up and I fought back those tears because yeah, they wanted to flow.

I felt like I was an actual participant in what was happening on screen and I felt like I'd gotten the ass whooping of my life right alongside the super hero's. and it was an epic ass whooping too!

can't wait to see it again, but, as I said days ago, my Daughter and I went in full cosplay, to see this, we walked the mall before and after and we easily had been stopped close to 75 times for pictures. we met lots of kids who loved our outfits, some where scared but all looked. lots of grown-ups wanted pictures too. at one point, they thought we worked for the Disney store at the mall and were promoting the movie in the mall!

the absolute most amazing thing happened to us, two kids came up to us, a brother and sister, and they gave each of us a huge hug. we were both taken aback and again, the eye water welled up. their father told us the kids saw us and wanted to come over to give us a hug because they had never seen black people as super hero's in "real life" until they saw us in cosplay. yeah, my Daughter and I were both honored and moved!

these kids in this picture didn't speak much, but, they wanted pictures and they made the picture taking sign and said please, so we understood what they wanted!

IMG_5944 small.jpg
and we gave it to them!

then, there was this little guy, who was the closest thing to cosplay as we were in the entire mall. he was great, first, he was shy and afraid to get into a picture with us, but, he kept hanging around and finally after he saw us playing around finally got into the picture. now he's gonna have a great story to tell his friends and family on social media and at school tomorrow!

yep, lots of fun!

there is a poll at the top of this thread on every page, shouldn't that have told you something?

I don't really trust the poll.

Of course majority give it five stars because we're still in that honeymoon phase. Wait a few months and a couple more repeat viewings to get a more accurate rating.

That's why until the Blu-ray releases I'm having a hard time putting it on my list. The simple fact that all of these characters came together and the movie was as good as it was means it'll likely remain #1 on my list, at least until A4 next year.

I meant that in relation to the poster not wanting to read any posts in the thread and just wanted an answer. in that respect, the poll would have sufficed. he seemed, to me, to want to know if it's good enough to go see. that's what I took away from it.

of course, taking some time to read some of the posts would help a lot too.

we live in a microwave world.

While somewhat true, the needle usually doesn't move that much.

Or, it tends to even out. Those who thought it was 5 stars might lower it a bit, and those who gave it a very low score might move it up one or two, but in general, people don't usually change their minds to much of an extreme in the opposite direction.

I think what people voted is pretty close to their final take.

I think if the general reaction to a film on first viewing is AMAZING it's a safe bet to see in theaters if you enjoyed prior entries. Waiting a few months, until people flesh out problems or issues they may have, aren't going to drop the rating's by a significant amount. 5's may become 4's or 3.5's for some folks, but the majority who are enjoying it, even after repeat theater trips, show the film played correctly for nearly everyone whose watched it.

Just my two cents on film polls/ratings.

My showings I've had a Winter Soldier, Captain America, and a Gamora.

I went as...lazy Saturday afternoon Black Widow considering I'm a ginger with an Avengers-era style haircut, atm.

If polls were accurate Brexit wouldn't have happened and Hillary Clinton would be the leader of the free world...

It was a yes/no question
