Maybe, but I'd have to think that Strange covered it. He could have annihilated them with a single thought, but he didn't. He was holding back, for whatever reason, like an adult would with unruly children. Slice off an arm with a portal, and he might have torn them to shreds mercilessly. Might not have even been possible to get one of those portals that close to him, considering the stones he had, at that point.

From what I can tell, he understood what drove them and even respected them (see his conversation with Stark). He had no interest in killing them for only doing what they felt they must do: resist, defend, and survive. He wanted the culling to be merciful and non vindictive. Then again, he did throw a moon at them.

Not necessarily a problematic thing, always. Under the Fair use doctrine, you can use short clips if your main point is to comment on something, it would be hard to fight this because it's considered protected speech....

So really, what it's saying is those we saw turn to dust basically transferred to the alternate universe and are still very much alive. They just need to be rescued and brought back to the real universe.

Saw it last night finally, do we know where Hawkeye and Ant-Man are? Possibly space dust now of course. Slightly perturbed by their absence. I thought they might be in the end credits scene but it was to set up Captain Marvel, who could also be space dust. Film cancelled guys, sorry.

I enjoyed it for what it was, I really liked Thanos' minions, but I think I need to see the fourth movie to really draw a conclusion on it. It sometimes bordered into a battle to see who had the better special effects.

Loved the introduction of Steve.

Nothing has topped TWS yet, but I really want to see the fourth movie, so I guess this one has done its job.

Man, this film really surprised me.

I think Thanos smiling at the sun, due to him winning with the dreary score, hits me so hard. Even the damn credits are dour. Thanos really is the main character.

Hawkeye may still be alive, could be in the next one. Remember, the original Avengers lived, so the former may apply.
Ant Man, we have to watch the sequel to see if it ties to IW.

They were under house arrest from the last events. You can see in the trailers for Ant-Man and Wasp he is wearing an ankle bracelet.

It will be interesting to see how Ant-Man and Wasp ties into Avengers.

Not read the link but from what you say that sounds like a theory I had last week - I figured those 'snapped' away would be in their own universe, and it would be how the MCU continue, over there, with the dustifed characters in like an MCU Universe 2.0.

that way the effect of the snap sticks, in this MCU mark one universe.

Only character am not ready let go of yet is Rocket....the OG Avengers I've had enough time with and whilst I dont really want any to leave the MCU, its a good enough time as all those characters have a decent amount of backstory, movies, appearances etc.

Either way, I never saw the 'snap' as outright death. Morea split or divide, of some sort.

MCU 2.0? Soul(stone)world? Quantum realm relegation by way of dustification? maybe...who knows

Black Widow explained where they were- they took a deal after Civil War as it was hard on their families and they were on house arrest
