The universe was coming to an end. Well, fifty percent of it anyway, you think they'd just say **** it and help out. Maybe the Ant-Man film will help things.

That's the main problem I have with this movie, and I saw it coming. It feels incomplete. It's still a decent watch, but an incomplete, and pretty downbeat, experience.

Well, when the sequel comes out, it'll be complete. It's like The Deathly Hallows, for me.

For the Avengers, wait for next year.
As a Thanos movie, it's perfect and complete. He's essentially the main character who has a goal, with valid points, does things to get to the goal and wins. It's RARE for the villain to win, which is yes, downbeat, but refreshing.

It will be interesting to see how Ant-Man and Wasp ties into Avengers.
Indeedy, though it's not a coincidence that the next film after that will be the 1990's-set Captain Marvel. Shirley the events of The Snappening will be incorporated into Ant-Man 2 so then all of the MCU's major players will be accounted for, apart from Hawkeye obvs (but then he never got his own movie so who cares, lol).

Captain Marvel will likely have its own self-contained storyline but I'll bet cash money that the stinger for that flick will be CM receiving Fury's time-travelling text message, thus setting the stage for all the timey-wimey shenanigans that've been glimpsed on the Avengers 4 shoot. Back to the Future Part II crossbred with the MCU...

This is just a guess, but I'm betting they save Janet from the Quantum realm
and while they're celebrating at the end Hank and/or others disappear in a cloud of dust.

I dunno, those house arrests are no joke. They should have put Thanos on house arrest to save the universe.

Jokes on Thanos baby.

Batman lived and defeated him. And that was WITH the Mouse having the Gauntlet and 6 stones.

After all these years, my concerns with Thanos came true. Thanos ain't shit without the infinity stones. He was still a great villain, though. I just think people overhyped him for the wrong reasons.

Thanos could beat the hulk without the stones IMO

Which is odd because he was really struggling against the likes of Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, etc. If Star Lord didn't f*** up, they would have beaten Thanos.

I think it depends on the writing.
Thanos hasnt been shown fighting without a stone.
And we dont know if this Hulk gains strength as he gets angrier.

I got Hulk over MCU Thanos in a one on one.

I wonder if Thanos could punch a Chitari alien giant ship and have the same impact as Hulk in The Avengers.
Could Thor do that with his Hammer or just with one punch???
Would Thor need to wind up his hammer and gather the energy along with his own like he did in Dark World against the rock-monster?

Then I guess we can both agree that Marvel Studios has plenty of other villains that I don't think they have to worry about not reaching the bar.

Take a look at the box office. Marvel delivered. The hype was appropriate.

Are you responding to me? They certainly have delivered. Never said anything about the performance of the film at all.

I don't understand you sometimes. All you do is find things to complain about when it comes to MCU movies.

Thanos is by far the most powerful, three dimensional villain in all of the MCU. He is miles better than the countless, underdeveloped and completely forgettable villains of Marvel films past.

Only because Marvel dumb down all those other villains to make Thanos look good. But no, seriously. Marvel should treat ALL their villains equally. I don't like this mentally of half-assing all of these other villains and only caring about this one. Like when Marvel was promoting Age of Ultron at Comic Con, they brought in Josh Brolin as a special surprise. And I'm like, why would they have Josh Brolin come in and steal Ultron's thunder? Isn't Age of Ultron Ultron's movie? Not to mention the fact that the Russos keep comparing Thanos to Darth Vader and how Kevin Feige says Thanos is the best villain way before Infinity War came out. So clearly, their minds is at making one villain truly great. So sorry if I want all my villains to be great.
