That’s if he wasn’t erased along with the others. Me personally, I’d like to see all the remaining villains (and some new one’s) join the hero’s and fight against Thanos in Avengers 4.

The scene can still be canon, Thanos didn't necessarily put on the gauntlet right when Age of Ultron happened. That little scene could've been 10 minutes before Infinity War for all we know lol

I saw somewhere that Thanos was waiting for the right "moment."

SHIELD no longer exists, The Avengers disbanded (Civil War), Odin and the Ancient One were both dead, Nine Realms in chaos (under Loki's rule), and Asgard destroyed.

Perfect opportunity to get collecting of the Stones as every threat poised to Thanos was either no longer exist or in their most vulnerable.

It was nice to see 2 Sherlock Holmes in the same scenes.

My guess for A4 is that Thanos gives the remaining avengers a chance to trade an alive hawkeye for the rest of humanity back but Cap says they don't trade lives and then credits roll.

My guess is Thanos gets bored and rewinds time and Avengers 4 is just Infinity War all over again. (The ultimate troll) lol

A lot of people are saying that this Thanos scene makes no sense. Actually, it makes perfect sense, IF people use their brains.

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos was depending on others to obtain the stones for him (He got Ronan to do this, through his command of that one dude with a fugly face whom Ronan killed in pettiness in front of Thanos). Ronan managed to obtain the stone for Thanos, but instead turned on him.

After realizing that Ronan failed, letting the stone get into the hands of the Nova Corps (via Guardians), it would seem fairly obvious what the scene means. It means, he's done relying on other people and making deals with people to obtain the stones for him who only fail/succeed and turn on him, so he'll instead just go after them himself. (And of course, we know that's exactly what he does, thanks to IW).

Yeah, I think everyone knows this already. What people are saying though, is why did he wait so long to do so? Considering it took him a short amount of time to get them all in Infinity War.

Or just a prophetic vision for us movie audiences, I'm surprised the directors bothered to comment on it.

"Don't you agree, Doctor?" I'm pretty sure this was a nod. Speaking of which, were there any Arrested Development easter eggs in there?

I want to see more of Proxima Midnight and Ebony Maw but I feel the odds are against me, even if they did somehow survive their beatings, they could also be space time dust. I didn't care for the other two, but they were cool, bring them back please Marvel.

I don't think he wanted to risk himself, as he thinks himself above all others, so others must waste their lives and time in his service.

I mean, if I was rich, and I kept hiring Butlers for my mansion who just did a terrible job, I'd just fire them all and do the damn job myself.

I'd imagine that scene took place around the end of Guardians 1, right after realizing that Ronan f***ed up and the stone was with the Nova Corps on Zandar, which he actually destroyed before IW, obtaining said stone himself.

Also, if the Gauntlet never existed until Eitri conceived it for Thanos, how the hell do you explain this?

How could Odin have something in his vault that was never created to begin with? Unless that's what Hella meant when saying, "fake?"

Yes, MCU inconsistencies talk! Having just rewatched them from start, why would Thanos give Loki a stone (staff) to go get the other stone! Seems like he would just keep it and not give it away. And why does tbat very same stone change color from blue to yellow once it gets put into Vision's head? I loved IW, and for me it was the first Avengers movie that was great!

Yep, it appears to have been a fake.
