So anyway, how did Eitri the giant-dwarf create the one for Thanos, when there was already a right-hand version of it? Did he create that one as a model for Odin, but it never truly worked? Seems like there is a backstory that needs to be told.
That link led to the explanation that Odin got a fake so that the Asgardians wouldn't worry about it.

Really, Odin wouldn't have had to gotten the fake Gauntlet from Eitri. It probably is completely non-functional, so anyone could have made it.

Now, I don't remember the dialogue exactly, but did Eitri specify when he made the real Gauntlet for Thanos? It's might be possible that the original was made long ago, after which Odin made his fake to calm down Asgard. Then the AoU scene would just be whenever the Stones are right where Thanos wants them, so he starts his quest.

Oof, MCU inconsistencies are a headache. I blame everything on Strange screwing with the timeline.

It'd make sense to say hand as he would have lost a limb and unable to snap his fingers. But then saying head works too as Thanos would surely have been killed.
Him saying "head" works just fine in the scene but given the context, that he then literally snaps his fingers to wink out half of all life in existence, I reckon "hand" is what he said. Sounded like it to me.

But that was kinda the point, it became a Family Guy skit that seems to outlive any comedic usefulness...only to become even funnier by the end of it. I was wiping away tears I was laughing so much.

This happened when I had to run to the bathroom. Grrr.

Speaking of, IS there a good spot to take a leak if it hits me again tonight? I'm thinking the Young Gamora scene maybe?

I'm curious to see how this plays out as bringing all the ashed characters back with the gauntlet should be at a high cost.
I really enjoyed this film.

Where was Thanos at the very end of the movie? Some are saying he is inside the soul stone. Was he even wearing the gauntlet in the last scene? I don't think he was but I could be mistaken. I've only seen it once but I will be seeing it again.

That makes no sense though, because the real gauntlet hadn't even been invented yet, so how would anyone know what it should look like? Why would you have a fake of something that no one knows anything about? I mean, if there was some sort of legend or prophecy about a gauntlet containing all the stones existed, and it was described or illustrated to look exactly the same, I suppose one can say Odin had it made as a ruse to fool everyone. But still, the fact Thanos had Eitri make one that looked just like Odin's fake, except for the opposite hand, and it is the real one, is just a little hard to believe without a bit of backstory.

It seemed to me that Thanos getting the gauntlet from Eitri had to be somewhat recently -- at least well after Odin already had his fake -- because Eitri said Thanos killed all the other dwarves in Nidavellir, and l would think someone in the universe would had to have heard that happened already if there had been some extended span of time since the event, especially considering Thanos is walking around with a doomsday device that could end reality and everything in the universe.

Besides, if Thanos had the gauntlet for a long period of time, why would he have waited so long to go after the stones?

We'll at least people are starting to recognize the X-Men Universe isn't alone when it comes to inconsistencies and continuity errors.

Not for me. It's sad that I've all but gave up on WB at this point. I would have loved a better JL movie but I'm happy I have MOS & BvS. Maybe IW will wake WB up but doubtful. It was Thano's movie & there were high stakes. I loved that.

I thought he did, but it was all destroyed. I'll know soon enough, seeing it again in 3 hours.

Looking back, I guess the best time to assume Thanos got the gauntlet from Eitri would have to be around the events of Age of Ultron, because this scene is the bonus scene from that movie.

Of course, not every mid or post credit bonus scene is, or needs to be, in sequence with the continuity of each film, so that "I'll do it myself " scene could have happened at any point in time, but I think it's likely to have happened during or immediately after the events of movie that featured it.

Wanda and Vision. That was the only real moment the film decided to take a breather.

I think WB is going to try and bring DC back from the grave. They are hiring better directors and probably going to try and take more worthwhile chances. It remains to be seen if they can pull DC back up and have the audience give them a second chance or not though.

I tried with the DC films but man did they suck. I enjoyed BvS but hated everything else, Wonder Woman included. I like WW because of Gal Gadot but that's about it, wasn't digging the movie itself.
