On a side note, I should have my Infinity Gauntlet boxset with all the comics coming in next week. Can’t wait for that. I’m really excited to read all the comics and crossovers since I’ve never read any of them.

Speaking of, IS there a good spot to take a leak if it hits me again tonight? I'm thinking the Young Gamora scene maybe?
If you absolutely have to go during the film, I’d say run right before Captain America, Vision, Wanda and the others show up with Rhodes during his meeting with the Secretary of State, who tells him to arrest them and Rhodes is like “all over it”, and then Bruce shows up and it gets awkward between Natasha and him. I feel like that’s the only sequence that once you’ve seen it once you can skip without ruining the flow of the film.

But yeah, if possible go right before the film starts or during the credits before the end credits scene.

Of course, not every mid or post credit bonus scene is, or needs to be, in sequence with the continuity of each film, so that "I'll do it myself " scene could have happened at any point in time, but I think it's likely to have happened during or immediately after the events of movie that featured it.
I thought someone mentioned and linked a website where one of the filmmakers said that that was a continuity error (to place the scene with Age of Ultron). I think it most-likely happened right around or before Thor: Ragnarok since he shows up with the power stone already in place at the beginning of Infinity War and that one was in Xandar under the protection of the Nova, implying that he fought and destroyed Xandar during Thor: Ragnarok.

Don't they mention that Xandar got taken out in IW?

(To which some people will say "oh, so THAT place getting destroyed is heard about by other characters but not the near-destruction of Nidavellir? Pffft", to which I'd again reiterate that Odin had been exiled and Loki was running the show, badly, while the occupants of the Guardians' corner of the galaxy might have their ear closer to the ground for such events in their sector.)

They definitely do. I was still editing my post . I was saying time-wise, those facts imply that it happened during or around Thor: Ragnarok.

Yeah, that makes sense. It seemed also that Nidavellir was more isolated than Xandar. Plus yeah, like you said, Loki wasn’t exactly being a responsible king in Thor: Ragnarok. I’m pretty sure Thor even mentions something along the lines of the other kingdoms getting unstable due to Loki’s disregard/neglect, and since Eitri was the only one that survived... it makes sense.

I see him as a perfect villians - he’s a foe and won. Only Zemo won, of a sorts, previously. Thus he is the 2nd best villian IMO.
A great villian to me, is one that doesn’t lose. (Nolan’s Joker is another ‘great’)

The likes of Loki, Killmonger and Vulture are great but in no way the sameness league of Thanks. They were more enjoyable and we’ll executed.
I say weak villain because it's not such a high bar to top, when you consider the fact that Marvel has plenty of other great villains in their library. Yeah, Thanos is better than most MCU villains. But lets be honest, most MCU villains are weak to begin with.

To me, a great villain is someone who is completely evil, yet acts like a good guy at the same time. That's not the same as making your villain sympathetic, by the way.

And yet, he was almost defeated by Doctor Strange, Drax, Iron Man, Mantis, Spider-Man and Star Lord.

Not sure what you expect, a villain who is not vulnerable at all and can’t be beat? What would be the point of that? I think Thanos was very powerful and a great villain.

I just find it kinda odd that Fox-Men's Apocalypse is more OP, yet at the same time Apocalypse is very watered down in the movie.

Thanos looked exactly like Apocalypse (rying to get through all their powers at the end) when he was trying to get through Wanda's powers.

That's because Marvel tend to be very kinda reticent to embrace the full range of abilities that its heroes and villains possess in the comics. In IW Thanos comes across as just this sheer physical beast who uses the gauntlet for the intangible powers, so we never really see him implementing is own energy/telepathy/telekinetic powers. Fox on the other hand don't really hold back as much in the X-Men universe because you kinda have to embrace the strange in the mutant world.

Just look at how they portray Dr. Strange in IW, he stands there and lets Stark/Spidey struggle against Maw and Black Dwarf when he has the abilities to take them on himself much more effectively. For some reason in the film Strange only ever goes full-out in the final fight that group has with Thanos.

In the comics, Thanos is able to beat The Avengers even without the gauntlet. In the MCU, he almost gets his ass kicked even with the gauntlet. This movie almost has the same problems as X-Men: Apocalypse. In the sense that it tries to be comic booky and "grounded" at the same time. It can't make up it's mind. Only it worked better for Thanos because they made him into a sympathetic character. Imagine if they made Apocalypse sympathetic.

He only got his ass kicked because Mantis had him under. Once he got out of it, he threw them all over like nothing.

Are you still on this Fox vs Disney stuff, man this deal cannot close soon enough to put an end to this. Thanos did not get his ass kicked. How is trying to remove the glove, and using hit and run tactics kicking his ass?

Yeah I liked that because the weakest person on that battlefield was the only one with the ability to actually contain him, but it was incredibly convenient that only six? superheroes could even touch a Thanos with four? Infinity stones. (my memory's starting to get shaky on the details )

Mind you, the way they portrayed Thanos it was almost as if he was reluctant to rely on the powers of the stone and just wanted to take what his opponent has to kinda experience their moxy, how much they will struggle. His fight with Captain felt very much like that.

Meh. That's still kinda weak. Especially considering that Thanos is a telepath, which they never addressed in the movie.

What Disney vs. Fox stuff? I'm talking about the Marvel brand in general.
