The first pressing of Obsession was region free, but I've heard the second pressing is not. Shivers was Region B when it first came out, but after release was found out that Arrow mistakenly put the R-rated version out and not the uncut version. Replacement disc's were released and those happened to be region free.

AKORIS,

There is also a Region Free release from Australia that has "Shivers", "Rabid", and "The Dead Zone" in it. It is definitely Region Free.

And I had bought the UK Arrow "Shivers" that was Region B locked, and it was a slightly censored version, and then they had the replacement program where you could get the uncut version, and when I received that, it was Region Free.

I have that Australian Cronenberg set, too.

Not sure if WB still have the rights but I would love a Scream release of Nightmares & Dreamscapes Its a little uneven but worth it alone for the Battleground episode. Plus I can dump another dvd set.

"Jack's Back"
"The Nest"
"Witchboard"
"Phantom of the Opera"
"Leviathan"
"I, Madman"

Have to say with all the titles i've listed i am just happy to have them at all.

Other than the fact that Witchboard doesn't have new art, it is basically a Collector's Edition already since it certainly has way more bonus features than any standard release.

That has got to be one of my favourite titles from the Cult Classics line.

Holy crap. I wonder if he literally means a UHD or just that it’s a new 4K scan.

Pretty sure he means 4K scan. Because even if Sony were releasing Candyman on 4K/Blu ray themselves, I doubt they would bother with doing any new interviews and extras.

That’s what I was thinking. I assume it’s a Scream Factory release, especially considering they’ve done the second one. I’m hoping for a box set but it’ll most likely be a big, flagship CE of the original film.

Then again.... Sony did release 976-Evil with new commentary tracks and special features, last year. So who knows? But it’s very doubtful whoever is releasing it, that it will be a 4K release. Probably just a 4K scan, which is great anyways.

I wouldn’t mind Sony releasing it, but I kind of hope it’s SF just because I would like a kick ass poster to go with it. Lol

Hope this 4K scan turns out better than their Cyborg release in comparison to the original blu-ray.

If Sony still has the rights, no matter which company is releasing it on disc, Sony will be doing the scan themselves.

My copy of Arrow's OBSESSION (1976) is also region free, but wasn't there some talk that later pressings were region-restricted?

I would like to see a US Blu-ray release of OBSESSION, hopefully with the great Bernard Herrmann score afforded an isolated audio track.

Yeah, this better be for a Sony 4K UHD/Blu-Ray combo, not a measly Scream Factory Collector's Edition.

Candyman is, seriously, one of the best horror films of the 90s and truly worthy of a native 4K release.

As others mentioned, Sony put out a decent release of 976-Evil and Bram Stoker's Dracula had new bonus features.

Titles I would like Scream to consider:

From Fox:

THE CABINET OF CALIGARI (1962)
SHOCK TREATMENT (1964)

From Universal:

LET'S KILL UNCLE

From Sony:

THE MAD ROOM
OBSESSION (1976)
HOMICIDAL

From Warner:

PRIVATE PARTS (1972)
THE BLACK ZOO
WELCOME TO ARROW BEACH uncut
WICKED, WICKED

From MGM/Roger Corman:

DEMENTIA 13 (with the rare D-13 test sequence, from MGM's vault)
