Default So here's something I don't understand

You know all the guys who say "blue ray"? How are they even getting to this site in the first place? The URL clearly says "blu-ray."

i mean in all honesty, for people new to the format i can understand how they get confused. the color blue is associated with the format (obviously), and most newbs probably dont get that the "e" has been cut off.

405nm is closer to violet than it is to blue.

Same reason so many people spell disk 'disc', they don't know any better.

Disk & Disc are 2 diffrent things.
Blu & Blue are 2 diffrent things

If you go to google.com and search for "Blue Ray" this is the first site, so I'd guess most of said people aren't actually typing the site name.

You all know I wasn't serious, right?

I thought it would be funny to ask anyway.

What about Indigo-ray? Or Indig-ray, to cut off the last letter and maintain tradition? Viole-ray!?

I think it's awesome that blu-ray.com has both the #1 and #2 hits on google for all searches on "Blu Ray" or similar, and the official web site is #4.

I was forwarding a lot of official traffic here (studio reps who wanted to learn about Blu) instead of the official site because it is much more informative than Blu-raydisc.com

indigo-ray would be too confusing. people might think you're think you're talking about indigo girls and amy ray.

That, and indigo is being disputed as a color right now anyway.
