As far as I know, no. I have the same model and never had to do such a thing.

The only thing I do know is that it's set to 1080i by default for HD programs, so people with TVs only going up to 720p would run a setup to have the box scale down (although the box won't do this if it's hooked up via HDMI).

I found what you were referring to. It's just a simple set-up to check which resolutions your TV can handle. It doesn't really do much, but if you want to check it out:

Make sure our TV is ON (and set to whatever input the cable box is connected to) and make sure the cable box is OFF.

Next, press and hold the Guide button on the front of the box (one of the four buttons to the right of the clock). While still holding this button, press down the Info button.

If done properly, the display on the cable box should show the letters HD, and then show then launch the setup thing on the TV.

I think the only purpose of this thing was if you had an HD cable box hooked up to an SD TV, and had the HD resolutions all unchecked. Then you'd need to go back and re-check them if you later hooked the cable box up to an HDTV. If you're already getting the HD channels working properly, this little setup wizard thing won't do anything to make them any better.

Edit: Also, the link didn't work. I think part of the URL got cut off. I'm not sure if the setup/test thing will worked if hooked up through HDMI, but you can give it a shot.
