Anybody else using this?
Obviously it's not finished and lacks any kind of usability but it seems extremely fast so far. Nearly as good as Chrome, but FF 3.6 is still far above all the rest. Rendering seems weird though, especially with text. Gives me eyestrain! |

I tried the beta version of IE8 back when, and it had lots of little bugs with Vista....annoyed the crap out of me. John |

Win7 on my desktop. It runs without any bugs, but the rendering is a bit irritating and obviously it lacks other standard features like tabbed browsing etc... as it is just a preview.

I like how Internet Explorer loads sites like IGN faster than Firefox though. Check out this video of how fast IE9 loads: - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6nmTFTVbuE |

I am semi-interested, though not enough to install a beta build on my work or home machines. I will wait for the final (i.e. official) release, then I need to read the reviews, before I decide on an installation date. I didn't like IE8, and the network team at work advised everyone not to install it either (due to a host of issues with our existing apps), so I'm not anxious to jump on Microsoft's wagon with their latest browser iteration. Speed isn't everything; it needs to be robust and safe above all else.

I'm using it, always curious and don't mind beta testing. It's got its quircks, Flash Player doesn't always run right, though the latest update helped a lot, but it's still not supported by Adobe. Speed wise, it's very strange, certain sites fly, others are slower. Hopefully they will have a final release soon, but they do seem to be addressing problems through updates ( have a special preview flash player for beta 9 also).
What's the best out there now, I'ld like to compare beta 9 to the best . |

Not really. Too much sour milk from IE7 and especially IE8. IE8 bascially made me give Firefox a serious shot ... and I have NEVER looked back. Nor have I ever even opened it up once.
![]() Once you go Firefox you don't go back ... to anything. Plus, Firefox has a nice 3rd party add-on for IE emulation which works famously! ![]() The 3rd party add-on's alone are a reason to stick with Firefox indefinitely. |

We'll see how IE9 handles when the final version is released I guess. It would be great if people could report feedback on it from time to time here though. ![]() |

I installed it on Tuesday, but I haven't had a chance to play around with all of the various options just yet. I will say it is MUCH FASTER than IE8 ever was, and that alone makes it worth upgrading for (if you can). I have Win7 (64-bit).

It is VERY fast! A few things I miss though and have not been able to find options to change; like when you have multiple home pages, in 8 you could mouseover your home button and a drop down list would come up. This is missing in 9. I'd also like the option to move the address bar to the right and put the tabs on the left. I just like my refresh button and such on the right. |
