Glad I waited on a purchase. Is this tint issue for the US copies only or are imports a safer bet?

You use the word "revisionist". Did it not look that way in the theater?

I haven't seen this movie yet.

Default 3D UK is region free

Did anyone answer you yet? The UK version arrived a couple days ago from Amazon.co.uk and it is region free-- played without a glitch on my stock Sony UBP-X800 (U.S. retail). This continues the trend of most (all?) Universal titles being region free.

Amazon UK charged 10 pounds (approx 13 bucks) when I placed the order a month ago.

The movie is meh, but the 3-D was well done.

I love the look of this movie. The film look really suits it. I think the 3D came across much better at home than in the cinema too.

Really? I mostly liked the movie but I thought it looked very average. Even the UHD is kinda meh; not bad, not great. I'm glad they shot it on 35mm though, wish American Made had been as well (now THAT'S an ugly movie, but a better one).

The 3D was pointless in theaters (IMAX) except for the plane crash sequence. Glad to hear it's better at home, but I can't do 3D anymore anyway

Yeah I just really like the texture of the movie in terms of its visuals and cinematography. I guess I can't really explain it that well but I think this movie has really good cinematography and it's just refreshing to have a bug budget movie shoot on film these days as it seems so rare.

Seems like Dark Universe might be cancelled after all, shame because it had potential.
