These spinoff movies were always gonna turn into Star Wars Origins. At least Lando is well-liked, interesting, and someone we don't know a whole lot about (at least from the movies).

I've seen hours of Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke, so yeah, all else being equal, I'd much rather see something starring him than her. She's easily one of the worst actresses out there to get major roles. Man, has anyone else read that Stories from Jabba's Palace book? Or Tales of the Bounty Hunters? There is so much terrible SW fiction out there. It was fun when I was a kid though.

I really wished this movie had been a Lando movie with a brief appearance from Han, so I'd love a full on Lando movie.

Make Obi-wan another remake of Yojimbo (full on samurai space western on Tatooine with Obi-wan in the middle of two warring factions) and I'd be all about that as well.

Heard good stuff about Glover, so not bummed by the news, but also no extactic. There's a rad story from the Extended Universe about Vader and Palpatine stuck behind enemy lines fighting for survival that would be ripe and awesome for a slick two hour film, and with Infinity War having the gall to stick by the villain's arch throughout there isn't a real reason why except "standalone prequels are easy".

The only two characters I'd really like to see spinoffs for are: Snoke, because we know almost nothing about him, and I think getting Serkis to play him live-action for a bit would be great; and Count Dooku, because it would be interesting to get more of a glimpse of "heyday Jedi" and do a better version of the whole "noble Jedi turned dark by Palpatine" thing, and I like the idea of Christian Bale playing a young version of Christopher Lee.

I still don't understand the interest in an Obi-Wan movie. There's no story to tell, especially with Rebels already giving his arc with Maul definitive closure. And I say this as a big McGregor/Prequels fan.
