Looks pretty green to me.

Whether you like it or not, this new master seems to deliver a colour palette which is closer to the original theatrical presentation.

Considering the idea of green evolved through the shooting, it's supposed to be rather inconsistent, I believe. Hence various shades and intensity of green in difference scenes. So in this sense BD is revisionist. But not because it's made to look like the sequels, because it doesn't (sequels look different and green is less consistent there), but because all scenes have the same green hue.

Well he said he only spotted 1 scene so I wouldn't be concerned and he also said he's not sure if its from the original photography. Either way it sounds like another May home run.

Doesn't even sound like the reviewer is sure that's what he's seeing. But I'm seeing that rabbit cover, ugh. Anyway, I got locked into $24.99 with Amazon, and I feel confident I will be happy with the purchase.

On a side note, as much as I find reviews for this format about as useless as teats on boar it's interesting that this site is lagging behind the others in terms of 4k reviews.

Though that reviewer said Justice League 4K is "razor sharp", lol. Yeah sure.

To sum things up, we saw plenty of contradicting statements from these reviewers. One thing is common though - highest recommendation.

Nothing is clear till we see it ourselves.

lol exactly. Some of their reviewers use 4k panels that don't have WCG which is why I tread very lightly. I'll wait till some of our resident eagle eyes get a copy. I'm planning on watching my copy Tuesday but since it's a long weekend here I may have it Monday which would be great.

I wonder if dynamic tone mapping technology in some HDTV's would solve this issue?

If I remember correctly, there was a ‘mis-print’ in their ad and they were all actually $22.99 release week.

I believe the reviewer uses the 2016 VIZIO M which lacks WCG and has poor peak brightness. He also compares on a low contrast faux 4k projector. he said the same thing with his Dunkirk review. He is correct by saying if your panel is entry level stick with the BD. That's why specs are so important with this format and makes reviews pointless.

HMV have dispatched my UK version, will hopefully have it by Monday (unlike the lucky feckers who get their HMV stuff by the weekend).

Wow, just checked those specs and holy s***balls, you weren't kidding about the low peak brightness.

I mean people only got what they got.. Some reviewers aren't calibrators and don't get copious review sets into their working inventory like an Rtings will.

But let's just call it how it is. The 'professional' review space now is nowhere near as baseline as it could be when you were viewing rec. 709 content in blu-ray on 8-bit panel technology. Like even in mid-range Plasma of the time you could hit the targets for calibration/achieving the discs content comfortably.

With UHD Blu-ray you simply need a flagship set like a ZD9, Q9FN, X940E or with OLED C7/8 to do critical reviewing of HDR and these guys use their projector setups primarily... Even if native resolution, it's only one piece of the puzzle.
