Just left Target and they had 2 4k and 1 standard BD. The 4K looks really nice. But they are asking $59.99. Best Buy is $54 for steelbook and $49 for the other. I thought Target might be inline with Best Buy, but I guess not this time. Still waiting for mine to be shipped.

The text at the start of the shot that says "San Jose, Costa Rica". Whenever you see a text like that on screen, it means the film for that part went through an optical printer in order to add the text. This process usually softens the image quite a lot.

Does the 4K version fix this mistake like the 3D version did?
https://www.moviemistakes.com/chimag...image=4341.jpg Could someone please provide before-and-after screenshots of that and the Dilophosaurus wire removals? |

Sarah Harding chastises the others in her group about the importance of observing without interacting shortly after almost getting herself killed attempting to pet an infant Stegosaurus. She chastises Nick for his terrible idea to bring the infant Tyrannosaurus back to the trailer, then shuts up and helps him do it. After this inevitably ends in disaster, she proceeds to explain the dangers of the bull rex tracking the group with its powerful olfactory sense, but brings the jacket coated in the infant's blood with her as they flee. Sarah has a bad habit of telling off others for things she then proceeds to do anyway.
Is there any defending this? |

What I don't get is, if they're going to leave this much grain anyway, why even bother removing any of it in the first place? Same with "managing" the grain on opticals and VFX shots to the point where they have much less apparent grain than the rest...

You could also justify by saying that the grain isn't near as prominent in the cinema, so if you manage the grain to emulate a theatrical look. |
