Was “Fellowship of the Ring” the only LOTR film to get an extended edition steelbook?

There are steelbooks for The Two Towers and Return of the King Extended, but they are super rare and they are not jumbo steelbooks as Fellowship of the Ring and they only include the main movie discs, no Special Features or Bonus Discs, there's also a steelbook like that for Fellowship of the Ring

Hey guys, quick question. I’m working my way through getting the MCU titles in Premium Steelbook releases. But there doesn’t seem to be any for Iron Man 2 and 3 only? Is that correct, and if it is, is there any indication it’s being planned/worked on? Definitely sucks missing two titles only!

There have been loads for both movies. But I don't think there was a blu fans release.

The play.com version of im2 is the holy grail imo

No, I’m thinking about a premium release, with slips and usually with some extra goodies in there too. I know there are several steels but they don’t line up well when all the other releases are in slips which are also thicker.

Would a Captain America: Civil War Best Buy original steelbook for $46 be a good deal if it has some small scratches on the front, a spine slash right above the title, and some scratches on the back as well?

I’m standing in this used store torn if I should get it or not. Help!

So in line with other questions...I'm also going for a full MCU set and I was wondering about the earlier steelbooks. Like the original Iron Man...is that even on blu ray as a steelbook? I'm looking online and there's a ton of different ones from Germany and China but I'm not seeing anything from America.

Can someone link me an example of what the correct MCU steelbooks are? The later ones I know so like GOTG Vol 1 and onward's I have a handle on them. Anything older though and I'm not sure on.

No. As I think they are cheaper on eBay. These are the English releases

All the movies have a steel book now. Some are nicer and also rarer then others. So the cost goes way up.

Iron man one had what is considered to be hens teeth of a us steel from future shop. Top 2 with the blue banner, which I am not a fan of. The play.com one imo is nicer as it doesn't have enough the blue banner.

Iron man 2 from play.com can be found but it's not cheap.

It just depends on if you want the first releases or the many many reissued versions from best buy or zavvi. As the first releases from play.com or hmv both in the UK are now long out of print and no cheap.

I never went for these. But I am sure there are versions from blu fans

So there wasn't an American Iron Man Steelbook release? You mention Zavvi and the UK so that makes me think there wasn't one.

I'm looking for the American releases.

Unfortunately, no. But let’s hope they or some of the other manufacturers come with IM 2&3 releases as well, so it’s possible for us premium collectors to get full MCU line-up. Blufans are releasing The Incredible Hulk now so there is hope.

There has never been a US released blu-ray steelbook for the first Iron Man. There was only the US DVD steelbook from FYE. As of now, I'm not aware of any plans for a US SB re-issue in the US but with BB re-releasing Avengers, Civil War, and Ant-Man there is a chance they will eventually get the Iron Man.
However, starting with IM3 and Avengers, Marvel/Disney got the distribution rights while Paramount still held the distribution rights to the previous MCU movies so perhaps Paramount still has the distribution rights to Iron Man 1 and 2. This would explain why re-issues have started with Avengers 1 onwards.

Dang. So the only Iron Man 1 Blu Ray steelbook's are from other countries? Probably why I was having such a hard time finding it! Well the Canadian one would be in English at least and would probably play on my player...

Was there any other movies in the MCU that didn't have an American blu ray steelbook release?

Most, if not all asian and Canadian releases are Region A and will have an english track so if it's MCU steelbooks you want to watch that you're looking for, you've got a ton of incredible options. Blufans, Novamedia, and Kimchi have all released a ton of editions in the MCU. Blufans and Kimchi have an Iron Man 1 steelbook that is region A. Kevin (bluraysteel) is running a Blufans groupbuy right now that is offering 2 editions of Iron Man 1 steelbooks. There may be some left if you're interested.

In the US: Iron Man 2 had a Target exclusive metalpak, which is technically not a steelbook. Incredible Hulk has had several steelbook re-issues since it's neither Marvel nor Disney. Starting with Avengers, there has been a US (Best Buy) release of every MCU movie.

Does anyone know where I can get foam padding cut to size for steelbook storage?

I'm going to be moving this year so I'm hoping to find some to stop my steelbooks moving around inside of boxes.

No but I’d just use bubble wrap and do so many at once and tape it when you have a bundle.
