Is there a thread for OOP 4K releases? Seems the US release of The Prestige is no longer available. Literally every B&M and online retailer no longer have it in stock.

Hey guys...The Entity - Anchor Bay is definetly OOP. I don’t think it’s on the list?

I just checked Amazon and it is for sale and in stock there.

He's talking about the 4K version that was released only six months ago. I can't find it listed anywhere either. That's, like, super shocking. Disney/Touchstone just committed to it for as little as they could get away with, it seems like.

Perhaps it's because a boxset of Nolan's movies was released

There are a lot of french 4k discs that seems to be no longer available for purchase from Amazon.fr. It's quite strange.

Could be just between pressings. Probably relatively few of the pressing plants have upgraded to 4K UHD tech yet so it might just be in the queue to repress.

As was I. And, when I looked this morning Amazon had it in stock and available. It is not on back order.

¿Can you provide a link? Because I looked last night and this morning and just now and it looks like Amazon and the major retailer sites I knew to look on et al were totes bereft.

They have the standard catch phrase on the site that they use when they have no clue if they will ever get it in stock. "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

After a month you get an email "We're encountering a delay in shipping your order. The new delivery date is indicated below. If you still want to receive this item, please let us know. We apologize for the delay. " and then the estimated date is "Not yet available. We'll e-mail you as soon as we have a delivery date."

6-8 weeks after you approve the delay, I've seen "Due to a lack of availability, we will not be able to obtain the following item(s) from your order:

"Title [Blu-ray]"

We've canceled the item(s) and apologize for the inconvenience. We must also apologize for the length of time it has taken us to reach this conclusion."

Had a dozen or so of these since last October. Worth a shot if you're not really counting on it.

Yes, it is now on backorder as I mentioned (inadvertently used the word not), but it stated in stock this morning. That means someone bought the last one.
