Seeing how the Psycho sequels and Halloween 2 and 3 Scream Factory and Universal blu-rays co-exist, I don’t see how it would be an issue to have SF release Child’s Play and Jaws sequels since Universal already released them.

Same for Universal having a bareboned Burbs BD while Shout has an extras 2K remastered CE of it.

It’s just a matter of time. I’m thinking SF will be concentrating on WB and Sony titles at the moment though.

Yeah. I'm assuming that Universal will probably require an embargo period, but honestly seeing CP 2 and 3 being released by Universal makes me think an Scream Factory release is possibly even more likely down the road.

I would certainly buy that if they put it out.

I first saw the House on Haunted Hill remake maybe just five years ago. While I thought it went a little off the rails in the third act, it was overall a lot better than I expected after hearing so much bad stuff about it. I love the original but the remake was pretty genuinely creepy at times and Geoffrey Rush even looked like Vincent Price in certain scenes. I'd buy it on Blu-ray.

It would be a day one purchase for me and you agree it's dumb the first isn't on BD but the sequel is, i'm sure SF has their eye on part 1 since they released the original on BD in the vincent collection.

Just got Alien Predators in the mail.

I always loved how misleading the title for this one is and i'm happy to own an HD version of it now after it being M.I.A. in the DVD era.

I love the House on Haunted Hill remake. Would buy that one so fast. It is sitting alongside Valentine in my DVD collection with that hideous snapback case!

So that's why it has that name on the print used.

....I really wish the "Alien Predators" title was in the film itself.

I watched Alone in the Dark (1982) on Shudder tonight, someone has to put this out on BD ASAP.

Well, you know, except the UK version that has ALL the original music intact.

Sometimes a streaming version is an indicator that a BD is coming. Not always, of course; if it was we'd have the Keep by now. But sometimes. Hopefully that's the case here...

Alone In the Dark has a better chance at a Scream Factory pickup than, say, the Elm Street series although I give Freddy Krueger a better-than-average shot at getting a new SF box set. Still, it remains in the air if New Line titles are fair game. I guess we'll find out either next week or during SDCC.
