I really love all three Night at the Museum movies, despite all of the negative reviews they've gotten. Maybe it's because I love museums, but it's also because of the series premise calling attention to a Toy Story-like idea that a lot of kids seem to have, which is that at night, when everyone's gone, the museum exhibits come to life.

Rotten Tomatoes literally only works for me when it comes to animated films.

haha.

Yeah, kinda guessed where it was going as the film progresses, but heck, would have been nice to have gotten there myself!

Why I always try to wait till I'm in the car after the movie to discuss it with other people.

People in 2015: Jurassic World is not as good as Jurassic Park

People in 2018: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is not as good as Jurassic Park.

If you walk into a movie thinking it will be bad, having already planned a series of negative talking points, then how do you expect to like it?

The audience environment nowadays is miserable. People try to hide behind the excuse of "Well, the audience have grown smarter, demanding better quality for their money and time" but in reality, the audience is just impatiently waiting to like or dislike movies.

Average mediocre movies (ahem a lot of the Marvel ones ahem) get praised and idolized, whereas other movies that are on the same level get pummeled. It's just not a very fair environment for movies.

Blockbusters and movie making has evolved. It's time for audiences to evolve as well, instead of constantly comparing movies that are 25 years apart.

The problem with aggregate numbers like Rotten Tomatoes is that it isn't the same pool of critics film to film. A summer blockbuster will sometimes have a pool of 150-200 reviews, while an anime title will have a fraction of that, and even in the case of the blockbuster pool of critics, it isn't the same pool of critics week-to-week, film to film. Even the trades split their reviews with different critics just to handle the sheer volume of content. The only way the aggregate score would really work - for me, anyway - would be to have the same exact pool of critics film to film to film, and that's just completely not feasible. So, I take Rotten Tomatoes with a 100-lb. bag of salt.

From what I've read it's more like:

People in 2015: Jurassic World is not as good as Jurassic Park

People in 2018: Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom is not as good as Jurassic World.

Jurassic Park is a great movie none of the sequels come even close to that one, that's just a fact.

Actually for me it's quite the opposite, I had great expectations for the movies who deceived me the most. Having my expectations below the ground prior going to watch JW:FK tonight is probably a good thing, I may enjoy ot more than I would if I was going in with expectations.

I'm pretty sick of the Marvel movies and I am very picky on witch one I watch or buy, I think too much milk is being pump out of that cow.

The special effects in the blockbuster movies have evolved, it still possible to make great movies but it becomes pretty rare.

JP: 9.5/10 A few things bother me ie: the cliff in the T-Rex paddock or Eliie trying to get the gun with her foot while pushing the door on the hinges side when Tim is not doing anything.

TLW: JP: 5/10 This is the worst sequel IMHO, the cheeseburger scene on the truck hanging of the cliff is ridiculous and what happened in the boat who brought the T-Rex to San-Diego?

JP III: 6/10 Not as bad as TLW but close.

JW: 6.5/10 Great popcorn movie but so many things doesn't work, BDH high heels for example. They played this one like TLW & JP III never happened too, this is weird.

JW: FK ?/10 I'll watch it tonight and my expectation are extremely low so it might be fun.

Seeing this tonight with the fam and we are all very excited. Jurassic Park changed my life when I saw it as a child in the theater. Lost World upon first viewing I thought was amazing, but the overall luster wore over time. JP3 was a letdown from the get go, but my son's love for certain dino scenes (Spino Plane Crash/Spino vs. T-Rex and the Aviary scene) made me appreciate it a bit more. Sometimes fun action can beat out a subpar plot and abrupt resolution. I loved Jurassic World upon first viewing, but similar to Lost World the luster wore off a bit, but not as much. I rank it number 2 overall, especially with the help of my son, who adores that movie; his perception allows me to enjoy the film on a more fantastical level and less analytical.

Bad reviews won't stop me from seeing this. Doesn't mean I'll love it, but after 3 sequels to 1 phenomenal film, I've learned NOT to go in expecting a masterpiece. I'm expecting dinosaurs. I just hope the CGI/Practical effects combo is done right. That's my only real hope about this one. They really played up the "we are using practical effects!" aspect to the point of no return. Judging by final trailers though...I may be a bit let down. Within 12 hours, I will know for sure.

Good day everyone.

[Show spoiler]It seems like Isla Sorna has been retconned. And if there was a Site B, not much of a stretch to think there might have been a Site C as well. The obvious comparison would be Disney World, Land, Euro... isn't there also a Tokyo Disney? Hammond liked to go big, would totally fit if there's yet another island full of dinos.

Also, what about all those Pterosaurs that escaped in JP3 & JW? At least some of them should have reached the mainland, both times.
