pretty big plot hole of you ask me.
Trevorrow has said numerous times that
[Show spoiler]while he isn't removing them from the lore, The Lost World and JP3 are reticent to Jurassic World and the subsequent trilogy that spawns out of it, thus making Isla Sorna non-existent. It should be painfully obvious where this series/third film will head given the ending of this film, which wouldn't be exactly a conclusion when they could just move the dino's to Isla Sorna and forget about them again.

Chris Stuckmann said the same thing in his review.

What's interesting is I haven't seen a lot of hype/anticipation for this release on many social media platforms. It's not like Jurassic World where people were clamoring it's release with sold out showings through its first week.

1. What is everyone's beef with the high heels?

2. Just because they didn't acknowledge the events of TLW and III doesn't mean they never happened.

"Yeah, Jurassic World is so stupid. I'm too cool and my film tastes too sophisticated for dinosaurs and ridiculous high heels! I'd much rather watch an endless stream of movies about C and D List superheroes that really nobody has ever heard of but everybody pretends to be excited about!"

The first one had the nostalgia factor. This one has gotten lost in the shuffle of hype because of Infinity War, Deadpool 2, Solo and Incredibles 2 hitting back to back to back.

I won't be surprised when it pulls a Solo and comes in sub 100M and has to fight for #1 with I2.

Going Saturday. Glad I managed to avoid spoilers. Skeptical about the bad buzz. Lots of people said awful things about TLW when it was released, and it was mostly bollocks.

I know the pre-buzz was lackluster, but this will be the first film I've ever seen in 4D (minus theme park attractions). I'm excited!

Loved it! So much better directed than JW. Great tension, better characters, and some very emotional moments.

I totally agree, and I loved JW. FK is just an all around better film in pretty much all aspects.

The movie was decent, but the editing was terrible. The two shots that stood out to me the most were when
[Show spoiler]Claire and Franklin were in the endosphere and got the door to close, and when the Indoraptor (or whatever) fell through the roof.

There was a shot from inside the sphere as the door closed and you both see and hear it seal shut as it quickly cuts to a shot from outside the sphere with Owen running to the door as it’s shutting. However we just saw it shut two seconds ago. Also, was there really a need to edit three different angles of Own sliding under the Indoraptor as it fell through the roof? They played different shots from THREE different angles one after another in rapid succession.

I just hope they wrap it up with the next one. I think two trilogies is enough.

1. It's impossible to walk with high heels in the jungle.

2. You obviously didn't watched JW: FK, if there was an other island with dinosaurs neither Owen and Claire would have gone to Isla Nublar,
[Show spoiler]the reason they went was to move the dinos to another island.
JW story made the existence of TLW and JP III irrevelent, why would they bring dinos to San Diego if there was a running park on Isla Nublar and why would people go fly next to isla Sornia if there was a working theme park with dinosaurs?

It got a lot of tension indeed but it was on par with JW not better, not worse.

[Show spoiler]How did the Mausasaurus escaped the island? How come the birds didn't arrived on the continent 3 years ago? At least we know what the next movie will be about, I bet they gonna call it Jurassic Word: Extinction.

JP: 9.5/10

TLW: JP: 5/10

JP III: 6/10

JW: 6.5/10

JW: FK 6.5/10 Not as bad as I expected, let's hope in the next one there's no new hybrids.
[Show spoiler](just the dinos already roaming free)

Just got back. It was pretty good, but very predictable all around. I want to say 3.5/5 but I’ll round it out to 4/5 for now. It needs a rewatch.

4.5/5 on par with JW. I liked how much Bayona tried to build upon JW.

I wish I saw whatever movie you saw. Characters? Where? Chris Pratt's character is still Chris Pratt dialed down to about a "3", the villain was pulled out of a stock villain catalog, Bryce Dallas Howard was a woman... who does stuff and kinda likes Chris Pratt. And there was a young girl who was precocious, because you can't have one of these movies without a precocious kid.

And emotional moments? The only one I can think of that you could be referring to is that tear.

This reminded me of a Jurassic Park movie if it were directed by Roland Emmerich. Maybe if it had been a half hour shorter, some of the action sequences would have been enough. I don't mind a movie having little to no plot and stock characters if the action sequences are inventive enough to keep the momentum going. Some of them were, but like the last couple of Transformers movies, there is a point where I am just numb to any more of it. The action peaked on the island, IMO.

The movie only gets credit from me for
[Show spoiler]not turning the little girl into a human/dino hybrid, because I totally thought they were going to do it for a second and I would not have put it past them. I suppose I would've preferred that to the line "they are alive, like me." after she makes the choice to sacrifice human lives in order to save dinosaurs.

The little girl was a great new character (probably the best in the movie) and the emotional moments were probably
[Show spoiler]the Dinos dying on the island as they left and the Owen/Blue videos when he raised her
.

This movie has absolutely no chill. It moves at the same pace as a Fast and Furious movie. And I love it for that.
