Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

I'd give it a B-minus, myself...some well-choreographed dino mayhem, sure, but tonally all over the map, with annoying supporting characters (like the screaming black dude) and some seriously mixed messages. Plus, the Trump-baiting with Toby Jones' sniveling character is gonna date the movie HORRIBLY. I had an adequate amount of fun with it, but it's totally mercenary and by-the-numbers, and coming from a filmmaker as gifted as J.A. Bayona, that's a crime. On the plus side, the money this makes will probably allow him to do anything he wants for a follow-up, but then again, it might turn out to be another Book Of Henry.

Am I the only one who felt sorry for all the surfers in that wave at the end during Malcolm's monologue? That actually gave me a big LOL.

Did you catch the "nasty woman" line and the BBC ticker towards the start that said something like "President now doubting existence of dinosaurs in the first place?"

I was more mad that they built that scene up in the trailers and the opening of the movie only to have it be a quick shot in an ending montage. It's like Amazing Spider-Man 2 all over again.

Owen should have back handed that little girl for letting the dinosaurs loose I would have I would have been like WTF!! are you doing?

I'm sure certain audience members will sadistically cheer for how this character is treated (especially given recent news events), but it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb years from now.

[Show spoiler]the poor Brachiosaur left behind on the dock as he's consumed by a cloud of volcanic ash

had an extra sting due to what's been happening in Hawaii right now.

Still doesn’t change the fact that people looked at him like a laughing stock up until then and they still failed to listen to him. You think they would have had military ships around the island to make sure no one tries to bring any dinosaurs to the main land but no.

I couldn’t stand her character at all. I was just hoping she would get eaten. I get that animals should I be protected from botching but dinosaurs and men can’t co exist. If dinosaurs was alive to day it would still be them or humans. Malcolm is right in the movie you can’t have to alpha species on the earth at the same time cause one will have to end up killing the other.
