I too do like that they're making retailer exclusives less exclusive with UHD.

Regarding legitimate returns. Few years ago, I've made several exchanges because items arriving damaged because the packages themselves were also getting damaged during UPS delivery process. Explained in detail via chat and they all provided exchange without any hassle. Few days later, got an email warning that there have been too many exchanges and that more exchange may result in a ban. It was a simple exchange for few items that were ordered during Black Friday. None of the silly scenarios you mentioned that would consider "taking advantage" of their system. I've almost completely stopped buying from Amazon after that point, and have been buying mostly in stores or from BB/Target/Walmart online.

I never chat and never email. I always call and always ask for someone from the United States Resolution Team. There's a general email 'cs-reply@amazon.com' and they can see the pictures you submit while you're on the phone with them.

I think that's why I missed it (or forgot about it) - I probably wasn't paying attention to the DVD at the time. I wonder what was on it or if it was just including some or all of what was on the Blu-Ray bonus disc....

I did buy MI:1 from vudu this morning using my T-mobile credit from their Tuesday app.

MI4 is now available in UHD on Vudu, MI5 is not however.

Agreed, it's excellent that Paramount is doing this as an incentive for 4K adopters - it definitely influenced my decision to pre-order rather than wait until Black Friday. Also, I was thinking they may eventually reissue these without the second bonus disc, like what happened to MI: III and I didn't want to take that chance.

I'm pretty sure I was mistaken and M-I:III *doesn't* include content from that BestBuy bonus DVD. I didn't realize there had been a bonus disc on Blu-ray already. Maybe the disc has been updated as the disc art says 2018 on it now. I'll check later.

In the case of 4 and 5 however, the bonus discs were retailer exclusives and those are now included.

Also in the case of 4 & 5 they were already authored Blu-rays.

M:I:III's bonus disc was a DVD and Paramount would not want to include a DVD, nor would they go to the expense of re-authoring it as a Blu-ray.

Yeah M-I:4 and 5 don't have new movie or bonus discs, they're from 2012 and 2015 respectively. Both M-I:3 movie and bonus Blu-rays appear to be new with 2018 on the disc art.

Will definitely be checking them out later.

I care about slipcovers for the same reason I care about the paint and body of my car. Sure, my car would work perfectly fine if the body was rusting or the paint was peeling or the bumpers were missing or bent, but it comes from the factory with a perfect paint job and intact bumpers, so I want to keep it like that.

Had a couple of 4 and 5, but then sold out online. My wife is running some errands so I asked her to check out what they have in my local BB since online stock doesn't always reflect in store, but if they are out, I'll just wait until they get more.

And yes folks, start chiming in on how these look please, I can't wait to watch Ghost Protocol as I've heard nothing but gushing all over about that one...

Are you really going to berate someone on here for being upset that an item that they purchased was damaged? Also, how in the world do you not understand how there are people who enjoy the slipcovers at this point? They are collector's items, plain and simple, and this is a blu-ray forum that houses film lovers and collectors. People don't collect Comcast bills.

I am not trying to inflame you but even though i see slipcovers being sold on eBay people do collect them? I went thru my discs and recycled my slipcovers to make more room on my shelves.

Yes, people do collect them, and buy missing ones, or buy them to replace damaged ones they have. They're not worth much though. Maybe $5 or so each. If I didn't care for them, I would sell them myself. I think of it like this: brand new release $25, digital copy sold for $7, slipcover sold for another $5, and you just paid $13 for a new release.

Slipcovers aside, I placed an order for these on Amazon and they originally said 'Usually ships within 1 to 2 months, but that has already updated to next week.

They'll probably arrive with bent slips though.
