My Best Buy had nothing. Though I really just wanted to look at the slipcovers for a minute before I bought the steelbook of Tomb Raider 1 for $13. But they didn't have that, either, and it's actually in their ad.

For the life of me I can't understand how some of these 4k movies are being distributed. My local Best Buy had, at 11 AM, only 2 copies of one of the MI's discs and both had been sold. Fry's, around 20 minutes away, has at least two copies of each of the 4K MI movies. I bought 1,3, 4 and 5. The kid checking receipts at the door said that I was the third person to buy copies of multiple movies. This was at 11:30 AM. Is it that the distribution companies are not sending enough copies to retailers or is it that the stores' buyers are just not ordering enough (or any) copies? It seem to me that the MI reboot series would be big seller but, apparently Best Buy doesn't think so.

Yeah, I'm not sure what happened with this one, either. I wonder if they held back inventory for displays to be set-up closer to the release of "Fallout". It is pretty odd how just about all of these are not available at any major online retailer on the day of release. Bullmoose/Target/Wal-Mart/Best Buy had them all still available this morning. Not anymore. Maybe everyone is going to really start supplying retailers based on pre-orders.

Local Fry's had about 3 copies of each film. Picked up the original and Ghost Protocol. I've never seen Ghost but many folks around here seem to find it good.

Pro-tip for those who have an American Express card as well as a local Fry's Electronics:

After the AMEX credit is applied, my total will be $95 ($19 per movie). I should be able to sell off the digital codes to recoup even more of the cost.

Fry's is the only place that seems to have these in stock locally, and Google Express promised me delivery by Thursday. If you use an AMEX card and Google Express, this is a pretty good deal for five new, hard-to-find releases.

I will be mad if people who ordered today get theirs before I ordered mine. Mine were scheduled for delivery on friday, now it says "We will let you know when it ships"

BTW, I just checked if ordered today it says July 3rd for delivery.

Just finished the first and second films.

In a nutshell, this serves as another reminder as to why BrassTax never has the slightest clue of what the **** he is talking about.

I’m too tired to do massive write ups for each film, but the first film has NEVER looked better.

This isn’t like Forrest Gump, where you get bad sprinkled in with the good. It’s a fine, consistently quality transfer from start to finish.

Super happy with the look of the first two discs so far!

Not me, dude.

BrassTax is all gimmick, and no real knowledge.

My initial assumption was correct; he’s mistaken focal softness for DNR. Dude should probably brush up on how lenses and aperture settings work. Especially since DePalma has such a unique style to begin with. A lot of his framing requires higher aperture settings to bring more focus to specific quadrants of each frame he composes.

For a quick frame of reference of what people should expect: the first two films look a lot like the TOMB RAIDER catalog titles.

Also, I didn’t notice any artifacts with excessive chroma luminance. Black levels are nice and even. Never feel dark to the point of going to straight crush, and never being elevated enough to wash out the natural sense of contrast you get with the colors that DePalma likes to play with, especially blues and reds.

Pick these discs up, guys. They look terrific.

IMHO Ghost Protocol is the best movie in the Tom Cruise reboot of Mission Impossible. It's got a very plot and incredible action.
