Bad News Bears and The Elephant Man "feel" like Kino titles to me as well.

Just a reminder regarding Kino's Paramount deal:

Just the two 3-D films and one of them is tentative.

We hope to do another deal with them.

I would upgrade my old DVD to get this.

Yeah, good luck getting anybody to talk about this film.

At best, we'll get a bunch of trailers, TV spots and maybe some scene dissections from British film critics for a theoretical Scream Factory release of The Twilight Zone Movie.

I don't even think Warner will let this be put out again. Why did the first release go out of print? It couldn't have sold that poorly, and most of Warners back catalog is still in print. Most likely those involved with the film asked to have it buried.

It's still available on multiple VOD services, so the film isn't totally buried.

That's true, hard to say what's going on with it.

Was not familiar with the Twilight Zone tragedy. Looked it up just now what happened is horrible. Can understand why those involved may or have tried to bury the film. An experience like that would never leave your mind. Do like the film and would like to see it get a blu, but do understand now why it might not happen.

I found a brand new copy of the old Blu-ray at f.y.e. for $5 about a year ago. I'm glad I picked it up just in case this never gets another physical release.

There's a possibility of an announcement today. Any predictions?

Personally, I have so many movies piled up that I haven't watched, and not enough time to watch them as much as I like. I don't think I've watched a special feature for about 15yrs now. Bring on the previously unreleased! Rather have movies than trailers of movies. Just my opinion. Hopefully I don't start a 10pg mess.

I reckon they'll start with a bang with a Critters box set.

I get the feeling that these two are gonna be the trickiest to release, with the former being tied to Disney a bit, if I'm not mistaken. Would be ecstatic to have either of them.

Why do we think there will be an announcement today? If I had to guess, I'd say Critters Box set, Valentine, Candyman, Cry Wolf and House on Haunted Hill (90s) as soon to be announced. These would be "big" news releases because they've never been released. They're likely to re-release some others as well but I think their strategy with those will be to release them periodically throughout the year to stay active. There's no shortage of those so it's impossible to know what their next move will be but I'd say Tremors and Exorcist first.

Well the October announcements have to be imminent based on Shout's usual schedule, if they don't commence today then almost certainly before the end of the week.

Alligator and Critters releases would be top picks for me.
