Watched M:I 2 today. Looks pretty much just as good as the first, lovely remaster. A good bit more transition/effects shots that had to stay softer, but overall still great looking. Love the movie too, don't care who knows it. One reason the M:I movies are all entertaining is that they're different, and 2 being a silly action movie works fine.

I wouldn't obsess over tiny bits of an SDR converted image, looking for halos. The image on the disc does not look processed at all.

I wasn't, they just rarely ever stand out to me so blatantly on caps. And I'm seeing them in both, so this may just be one of those 'baked in edge enhancement' deals?

Why even bother Amazon? Are we really to believe you won't have stock on a new release for that long with your buying power?

Yeah 1 and 2 were obviously scanned again from the neg or IP at least, so I really doubt it's a processing effect baked in. More likely some DePalma lighting madness.

After looking it up, yeah that would make more sense. It seemed ridiculous to be someone at an edge enhancement control not noticing those suckers.

1-3 also said 1 to 2 month delivery but mine just updated to Friday so I’m sure they’ll all update and won’t actually take two months.

I was going to wait until they hit $15, but with the current DeepDiscount 15% code they come out to just under $20 each (and no sales tax to my state, unlike Amazon). Of course, all three are out of stock. But tempting to order, as I'm in no rush.

Got 1-5 from online target preorder! Shipped in box via ups mail innovations. All decent condition thankfully. Can't wait to dive in (from the ceiling suspended on a wire while saying toast louder and louder, but not too loud)...
