Mi2 has always been my favourite. It's loud, silly and gloriously over the top. I would pay good money to see the original 3.5 hour R rated cut.

Fitting that Ghost Protocol is the best movie in the series and also has the best picture quality. An exceptional UHD.

Not for me. Sure Spacey is a creep, but he is an insanely talented creep and his performances in films doesn’t make me like them any less. One must separate a person’s private life from their art. This is why, even if I don’t agree with them, I couldn’t care less how an entertainer feels towards politics.

Those scenes shot on IMAX were just stunning. The moment the camera swings from inside the room over Ethan’s head and looks down towards the ground on The Burj, I began smiling ear to ear. Not quite the same feeling as when I saw it in the IMAX (proper) Theater, but it was marvelous nonetheless!

Is anyone having oppo 203 with MI:1? I know I had a firmware update the other night, but every movie since then has been fine. Now i'm getting the disc being read, but my oled flashing. That's a disc issue over a handshake issue, right?

if you haven't seen the movie and your on these threads that's on you and your failure to put the effort to even watch the movie in the first place. This site is made for movie fans that wants the best quality available and to talk about their favorite movies. Spoiler tags are useful though so no harm in just putting it in.
I have only seen M:I so far, and have all 5 UHD's on order. Please Ssj3 Goku, have some sympathy for us poor, old slackers!

I mainly meant how the behavior has affected future releases, awards and etc. Studios will back off of their promotions and whatnot. We may not get a UHD of American Beauty because of Spacey's actions. It's not because of nobody's like us who may not buy it as a result.

We’ll get in UHD, Paramount just has to find the sweet spot between controversy and opportunity.

I watched Ghost Protocol 4K Dolby Vision on Vudu and it looked gorgeous...I can only imagine how amazing the UHD Blu-ray will look with the much higher bit-rates

What Spacey did doesn't have anything to do with politics. Spacey sexually assaulted and harrassed people while making some of his films. God only know what he did in private. I'll still watch his good films, but I dont expect studios to hire him again regardless of his talents. Talented or not, having a sexually abusive deviant working on set isnt fair to the crew or the other actors.

Just saw 1 last night. The transfer reminded me a lot of Independence Day quality wise. It's amazing that we get these transfers - it's basically like having your own private print!

I originally saw 1 in the theatre and being a kid, I was massively confused. Then I re-watched it on VHS and it made sense, I think I then saw it on DVD. So this is the best I've ever seen it and would have easily surpassed a running cinema print back in 1996.

What really struck me was the computer room scene - it's the silence. Great dynamic sound track - from scenes like that, to the train scene. In most actions movies now days you get BOOM all the time.

I had some random video issues with MI1, MI2 was fine. Watching 3 now, and initially it did not play at all. Checked the disc, it had a giant wet fingerprint on it that was not from me haha. Cleaned it, updated the player and now it’s fine. If I remember right the bug in MI1 happened during the
[Show spoiler]NOC list stealing sequence
.

They are all two disc sets (1 UHD, 1 BD).

Wasn’t saying what he did and politics are the same. Was saying one needs to separate someone’s personal life from their art.

Man, I was holding out hope these would have been added to Amazon’s 3/$50 4K deal. Somebody in the thread said the current deal expired 6/30. Wishful thinking.

I managed to get the first three films for $31 at my local Bull Moose, after selling back a few titles. They only had one copy of each. I’m always so grateful to have a Bull Moose in my area... I wish they could expand outside New England.

I wish they’d do a standard BD set of all six when FO comes out and correct the lossy audio tracks on 1-3 and include the extras for 3-5, but I have a feeling pigs will fly before that happens.

I'm glad that I have the ability to separate movie characters from real life people, and understand that buying something like American Beauty on blu-ray is not supporting or condoning Kevin Spacey's behavior. There were dozens of other talented people that worked on each movie. If somehow .25c from my blu-ray purchase goes into Spacey's pocket then so be it. I'm not all about rewriting history. It happened, and now there is an asterisk and an addendum to everything he did. Just like steroids and baseball.

I wasn't really planning to drop $130 this week, but man, after the reviews, and the fact that I am planning on watching all of these in the next few weeks.....
