You're right, I was mistaken.

I went back to check, and mine was the slip-less Comedy Double Feature version.

The confusion might come from the pic Amazon uses on their site



which certainly implies there's a slipcover.

This just happened to me today. I received Grumpy old men/grumpier old men on blu-ray and the case was empty. I am in shock. This has never happend to me, and I have never heard of it before. I got it from wowhd. Already sent them an email. Speechless is how I’m feeling.
As this happened to anyone else that bought this pack?

What was the condition of the item? was it a used copy or did it look resealed. If it was brand new and factory sealed it would be a manufacturer error and it's very, very, rare. This can happen if it was a used copy or resealed.

If it was new and factory sealed the problem your gonna have is convincing them you did not get a disc. Literally anyone can say that. That sucks, hope you get this resolved.

I know I’m gonna have a hard time proving the case came empty, unless they had more from the same batch. It was bought as brand new and I’ve never had a problem with wowhd. One thing i found odd was that the wrapping had a sticker with a bar code that disn’t match the one on the case after I opened it.

Yeah, but that happens all the time. Half the brand new discs you pick up cheap in stores have a different UPC slapped over the old one either on the wrapping or the case itself.

Disappointed Warners never did a special edition release of these iconic films... with actual special features. Paramount recorded a commentary with sons Chris Lemmon and Charlie Matthau that was a delight to listen to, even though the boys had nothing to do with the making of the film whatsoever.

When I started collecting, I went out of my way to get the standalone Grumpy Old Men blu-ray release. Now I can't remember why I wanted it over the combo pack

Yeah, that's a curious one. I rewatched both recently and, yes, "Grumpier" is rather formulaic and kind of a cookie cutter of the first, but damn, nothing beats Walts broadcasting Lemmon's naked ass to half of Wabasha!

I like the sequel, I just remember reading somewhere that the standalone was a better disc. I think I was just mislead, because they seem identical.

They are; encode is the same VC-1 on each. Only difference is that the standalone Grumpy is on a BD-25, and the double is on a BD-50 to also fit Grumpier.
